I'm Colette and welcome to the sleep series.

Our mini meditation with one hour relaxation sounds for falling asleep and staying asleep.

Today we are using the sound of rainfall from a field recording I took of rain in Hollywood,

Florida.

So just allowing your eyes to close softly as you begin to let go of any tension around your eyes,

Around your jaw,

Softening your shoulders,

Just gently separating your teeth,

Noticing the temperature in the room you are in,

Maybe becoming aware of any sounds around you,

Beginning to connect with your breathing,

Taking a big breath in and a deep breath out through your mouth.

We'll do three more,

Breathing in deeply through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

And last two,

Breathing in.

As you exhale,

Soften all your muscles in your body.

Last big breath here into your nose and exhale,

Letting go.

And just give your body permission to relax and enjoy your rest.
