What is face yoga?
If you've never heard of face yoga,
But you're curious to know what it is,
And you'd like to hear about it before trying any of it,
This audio recording is for you.
Face yoga is yoga for the face.
We spend time taking care of our bodies through exercise and nutrition.
But what about the face?
We live in a consumerist society,
Constantly told to buy buy buy.
It's in nobody's interest to tell you that you can rejuvenate your face by simply accessing and exercising the facial muscles.
A few minutes of having fun making silly faces each day.
Let's back up a little.
Our face,
Just like our body,
Has muscles,
Tissue and bones under its skin.
We use our facial muscles all the time.
However,
Depending on our upbringing,
Our environment,
Our habits and circumstances,
We sort of misuse some of our facial muscles or not use them at all.
Lines are created on the face.
I have a very pronounced number 11 in between my eyebrows from excessive frowning.
Other muscles become rigid for lack of use.
Skin wrinkles and folds in those areas,
For example under eyelids or under the chin.
Are you using your peripheral vision or do you move your entire head,
Engaging only the neck muscles when you look from side to side?
In face yoga,
We straighten and strengthen the facial muscles,
Ironing wrinkles from the inside out.
We help the skin rejuvenate and gain a more symmetrical,
Youthful and glowing appearance.
In fact,
The benefits of exercising the facial muscles are rapidly visible.
In one month of one session a day,
I've corrected droopiness on one side,
I got rid of a bit of a double chin,
Diminished the number 11 in the cross feet,
As well as gained two tiny lines at the corners of my lips,
Playfully pointing upward now.
There's also this perpetual glow that has not left my face.
It's stronger than the one I had when I was pregnant.
Each time I see myself in the mirror,
I smile.
People started to notice the changes in my face as well.
That boosts my confidence even more.
There's this relaxation,
A very strong feeling of well-being that also envelops you after each session.
Yes,
It is possible to correct unevenness,
Deep lines,
Accumulations of fat or fluids in the face by engaging and exercising the facial muscles.
It is possible to build new muscle memory and no longer contribute to the creations of those number 11s,
Crow's feet,
Smoker's lines,
Turkey neck and so on.
Face yoga can be done anytime and at any age.
You're never too old to rejuvenate your face.
I have participants who are 94 years old.
The facial muscles,
Just like all the other muscles in the body,
Are very responsive to care and being engaged.
Whenever you manage to find a few minutes,
Take them for your face.
You'll be amazed.
It is important to practice every day.
Even if you don't have 15 minutes,
Do three.
Your most stringent concern,
Engage those muscles.
Clean your fingers and face first and watch yourself in the mirror,
Preferably back supported and feet flat,
So that you can focus entirely on the face and not be disrupted by discomfort.
A little bit of natural serum or moisturizer handy doesn't hurt.
And because I've been asked the question,
What should I use so many times,
I will answer.
Anything natural that you know works for your skin,
From vitamin E to coconut butter or your own mix that you should make according to your skin type.
It doesn't need to be expensive at all.
There will be more and more audio recordings with face yoga exercises coming from me.
Listen to those or register for a live session.
I hope I have answered most of your questions about face yoga for now.
Looking forward to hearing from you or maybe have you as a participant in one of my classes.
Much love from me,
As always.
