Hello and welcome to this mini practice.
My name is Georgiana Patek and I am your face yoga teacher on Insight Timer.
This is a recording of a warm-up exercise you could do before each practice.
There will be several recordings with warm-up exercises so that you can pick and choose.
Your face yoga practice should last 10 to 15 minutes.
In our live sessions we normally use a warm-up 5 to 6 exercises depending on length as well as a cool down exercise.
At all times if the practice becomes too intense feel free to stop or take a break.
I trust that your face and fingers are clean and you are seated in front of a mirror back and feet supported.
Have a light moisturizer,
Serum or face oil near.
This particular warm-up exercise is meant to release tension in the shoulders.
Ready?
Inhale deeply and lift your shoulders up toward your ears.
Hold there for one,
Two,
Three,
Then exhale sharply and drop the shoulders suddenly back and down to release tension.
Repeat this movement ten times.
Here let's do this together.
One could always use releasing tension in the shoulders.
Big inhale,
Shoulders up toward the ears.
Holding tension one,
Two,
Three.
Sharp exhale dropping the shoulders back and down.
Nine more times.
That's it for now.
Thank you so much for listening and doing this exercise with me.
I wish you well.
