Siesta
In the heat of the day or as twilight beckons, all times are perfect for sleep. A siesta is what Spanish speaking cultures call their midday nap, but it's a practice and daily ritual in many cultures. To have a meal and a nap during the hot part of each day is a healthy thing to do. Dave Hoover and I wrote and recorded this piece to aid anyone in sleep. Not just during the heat of day, but anytime. This is an interweaving of myself playing piano and Dave playing Celtic harp. Whether you're in a hammock in Spain or Latin America. Climbing into bed in Canada or New Zealand. Maybe you're on a porch in New Orleans or under thick blankets in Scotland. Maybe a Mediterranean breeze is blowing or you're drying after a lake swim in Prague. Maybe birds are singing in Thailand and waves are gently lapping in Vietnam. No matter where you are, we hope that your sleep is deep and purifying. And while you sleep, we hope that our melodies dance in your head, giving you peaceful, enchanting dreams.
