Hello and welcome to this guided meditation.
A time just for you.
I invite you to find the most comfortable position you can in this moment.
Taking a moment to make sure every part of your body is soft.
Can anything soften even further?
Your belly,
Your shoulders,
The muscles of your face and jaw,
Eyes softening in their sockets,
Even the fingers,
And each joint becoming supple,
Resting comfortably wherever your hands fall.
In meditation there can be so much pressure we put on ourselves to get it right and get it right as quickly as possible.
But what if we could do away with that just for this moment?
Recognizing that however you arrive here in your body,
Here in this moment of time-space,
Is exactly right.
What liberation could be reached or allowed if your mind didn't have to be void of thoughts,
If the body was still allowed to feel tense in some areas?
How liberating could complete permission be?
Even the permission to be here now or not be here now.
You have permission to allow your mind to wander,
To allow your mind to be a mind.
And it's the permission itself,
The release of expectation and judgment and criticism that can be its own healing,
Its own resource and source of relaxation.
Allowing your body to be a body with senses of touch,
Texture,
Sight,
Smell,
Sound.
Allowing your body to have its very peaceful,
Healthy places.
Allowing your spirit to be the etheric,
Amorphous thing that it is.
There is permission to be.
You are allowed to be.
All of the parts of you are allowed and welcomed here.
All of the parts of you are allowed and welcomed by the divine,
The yin and the yang,
Who know the active and the passive,
The shadow and the light,
The all-encompassing threshold that contains all beings,
All permission and all love.
So if it's available to you in this moment,
Allow your body,
Mind,
Heart,
And spirit to sink into that delicious belonging,
That wonderful respite of comfort,
Knowing that who you are,
What you feel,
All that you are is treasured and cherished by the universe in this present moment and in all moments.
Your breath as it moves through your body is allowed to be however deep and however fast or slow your body needs it to be.
Perhaps letting go of any need to manipulate the breath.
There's no forcing needed here,
No contorting to fit some ideal.
Who you are and how you are are exactly right.
How much freedom can your system be aware of?
Knowing that freedom is a divine birthright fully accessible in each moment.
Freedom to breathe,
The freedom to release tension from our joints,
Our muscles,
But mostly the freedom to deeply and fully accept ourselves regardless of what we've been told or what boxes we've been placed into.
At our core,
At our sovereign core,
We are a deeply and fully incredible,
Magical reflection of the divine.
You are a sovereign being,
Matter,
Physical matter,
Made mobile,
Conscious,
And holy.
Mobile because unlike a rock,
A tree,
Or a flower,
You have the freedom to move in space,
Directing air around you,
Creating your own holy sounds.
Conscious because in your consciousness there is choice,
The choice to love and accept yourself fully and freely,
The choice to remember your divine permission to exist in sovereignty.
Conscious because you get to choose self-awareness.
And holy because you are the divine embodied in mobile conscious matter.
Holy because you create relationship with those around you,
Teaching through your words and actions the miracles of love,
Learning through others and through your relationship with the divine and through your relationship with yourself the truest love,
The love of one's own heart,
Acceptance of one's own being as a divine spark of creation capable of more and more creation.
You are matter,
Made mobile,
Conscious,
And holy.
You have complete permission to be exactly who and what and how you are,
And the love of the universe reflected in human form.
As this meditation tapers to a close,
Please feel free to find your breath once more,
Become aware of the contact your body is making with all of the surfaces and textures around it,
And take a few deep slow breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth,
Feeling your feet,
Feeling your hands,
And perhaps making juicy little movements,
Wiggling fingers or toes,
Or perhaps choosing to stay exactly as you are for as long as you need in your own right time.
May blessed be.
