Hi there and welcome to this guided meditation for sleep.
This meditation will help you fall asleep,
Stay asleep,
And if you're wanting and willing and setting the intention,
Do some work,
Some connection,
Maybe even some healing while you're in your dream state.
And if you're not interested in that or not open to it,
That's okay.
Just set the intention now that that's not something you're wanting to do and that you are just focusing on using this as a tool to sleep restfully.
So taking your time,
Gently getting into bed or lying down,
Getting comfortable,
Allowing yourself to settle.
There is no rush here.
There's no need to try to make anything perfect.
This is just your invitation to allow your body to land,
Allow your awareness to become more present,
And just allow everything to slow down.
We'll take a few deep breaths,
A long deep inhale in through the nose,
And then a long deep exhale out through the nose.
So we'll do four of those,
Breathing in for a long count of eight,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
And exhaling one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Exhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
Big deep inhale,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Exhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Exhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Exhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
Now you can allow your breath to normalize,
Allow your breathing cadence to soften.
Notice if you can breathe a little more expansively now.
Notice how your body and your head is feeling.
Notice how your shoulders are feeling,
Your hands,
Palms of your hands,
Your fingers and your fingertips.
And as you breathe,
Notice how your chest feels,
How your back feels.
What does your breathing feel like against the blanket or the mattress?
We're going to gently call in a very soft and warm essence.
It's like a soft black veil that's shimmering and it's going to start at the top of your head and slowly unfold and unravel over your ears,
The back of your head,
Your forehead,
Your cheekbones,
Your nose,
Your lips and your chin,
Over your neck,
The sides of your neck,
The back of your neck,
And pulling gently and softly over your shoulders,
Down your shoulder blades,
Down your upper back and your lats,
Rolling down to the middle of your back,
Softly flowing over your lower back,
And then falling over your chest,
The fronts of your shoulders,
Your heart space,
Your stomach,
Your side body,
And gently rolling over your arms,
Triceps,
Elbows,
Forearms,
Each finger,
Your thumbs,
Your index finger,
Your middle finger,
Ring finger,
Pinky finger,
And the veil softly and gently unfolds over the pubic bone,
Over the thighs,
Over the knees,
Over your buttocks,
Over your hamstrings,
Your shins and calves,
Slowly rolling over your ankles,
And gently encompassing the top of your feet,
Your heels,
The bottom of your feet,
And each of your toes.
Feel how soft and light your body is.
Noticing how spacious you feel.
Noticing what it's like for your entire body to be gently covered and cocooned in something soft and elegant and airy.
And gently breathing,
Allowing each muscle to slowly let go.
One by one,
Each fiber in your foot and in your calves is just letting go.
All of the muscles in your arms are releasing.
They are done for the day.
They are turning off.
They are relaxing.
Each muscle across your back and your chest gently lets go with a sigh.
Every fiber in your shoulder and your neck,
Your left shoulder,
Your right shoulder,
Just gently lets go.
All of the tissue in your arms and your hands releases and opens.
And every muscle surrounding your skull,
Your face,
Just unfolds and lets go.
Everything softly releases and melts away,
Allowing you space to breathe.
Allowing you time to relax and release.
Trusting and knowing that you are in a healing,
Restful state where your body and your brain,
Your soul and your spirit can be refreshed.
This is a space where every time you breathe,
Your body pulls in more nutrients,
More air,
And gently lets go of any energy that is no longer needed.
Allowing all of your inner systems to gently turn off.
To gently go dark.
Allowing everything to feel soft.
Allowing everything to feel thin and weightless.
Settling into a warm,
Comfortable space.
All parts of your body and your being can let go here.
And being in this liminal space allows your spirit to be free.
And no longer connected to the body or the mind.
You can gently move around and go where you need to go.
See who you need to see.
And even connect with whoever or whatever you need to connect with.
Knowing that it is safe for you to explore.
It is safe for you to do your work here.
It's okay for the dreams to unfold.
Allowing yourself space and time to notice if an opening showcases itself.
Just noticing what kind of opening this is.
If it's a portal in space.
If it's a cave in the earth.
If it's a doorway.
Allowing yourself to acknowledge that you can enter into the liminal world and do your work here.
And when the time is right,
You will come back through this door.
Connect with your body.
And gently integrate.
Allowing every aspect of your body to feel and sense and understand your work.
Your connections.
Your gnosis.
Your body knows.
To drift off.
