Evening springtime.
Take a deep breath.
And find a position for your body that feels comfortable.
You are listening to follow the breath to a safe space,
Which will help you to use the breath to feel safe and calm.
For the next several minutes,
There is nowhere to go and nothing to solve.
There is nothing for you to carry for these next few moments.
All that is needed is for you to arrive.
In this breath.
Notice the breath.
Notice how it naturally moves through the body.
Without you attempting to control it The breath enters.
The breath leaves.
The breath is like a tide.
Touching a shoreline and then pulling back.
Feel the coolness of the inhalation.
Feel the warmth.
Of the exhalation allow each cycle of breath to soften a new space within the body.
Each breath increases your ease.
.
.
Each breath.
Creates more space.
As you continue.
To follow your deepening breath.
I'd like you to imagine now.
At the breath.
Has created a pathway.
A winding path made of soft light.
With each inhalation.
.
.
The path appears a little farther ahead.
With each exhalation.
You gently settle your feet.
The new path.
One slow breath at a time.
You continue along this luminous path.
.
.
Inhaling,
Relax.
And exhale,
Relax.
Eventually,
A landscape.
Begins to come into focus ahead of you.
Softly illuminated.
By the light of the path.
Your safe space waits for you further down the path.
Allow the vision of this safe landscape to unfold naturally before you.
Trust the vision of your safe landscape as it reveals itself to you.
Breath by breath,
Notice the first details of this space.
The quality of life.
The color.
The textures.
The temperature.
The fragrance Allow your safe space to continue to re-feel itself.
And take a slow breath.
And step deeper into this space.
Everything here exists for your comfort.
Everything here soothes you.
Notice finer details in the landscape.
As you draw nearer.
Details come into focus.
Is there an edifice nearby?
Perhaps there is a body of water,
An expanse of mountains,
Or an enchanted forest.
Allow yourself to rest.
In this space.
A gentle,
Cooling breeze wraps around your shoulders like a shawl.
And sunlight settles across your face.
Like warm honey.
The earth beneath you feels steady.
And ancient.
Supporting everything you carry.
On your next breath.
Allow yourself to melt.
Like ink fading into clear water.
Like frost,
Melting in the morning light.
The landscape around you begins to widen now.
Notice the vastness of the space surrounding you.
There is room here for every feeling.
Experience and thought.
There is room here for uncertainty.
Room for hope.
Room for sorrow or joy.
There is room here for rest.
Everything within you.
Belongs.
In this vat.
And safe landscape.
Breathe into this space.
With each inhale,
Draw in peace.
With each exhale,
Sink.
Deeper into safety.
The rhythm of your breath.
Carries you it holds you.
Notice now.
That there is a soft source of light.
At the very center of this safe space.
Within this light is contained everything you need right now.
You do not need to earn the safety of this light.
You do not need to understand it.
Simply allow yourself to receive it.
As you breathe in.
Imagine this light.
Expanding within you.
.
.
With each inhalation,
This light fills your chest.
And expands out to your shoulders,
Your arms.
Down to your abdomen.
Your legs and feet.
Every breath carries this gentle radiance.
Farther through the body.
Until your entire body.
Is illuminated from within.
Rest here.
Bathed in warmth and held in safety.
Supported by.
The steady rhythm of your breath.
Stay with the breath for two more minutes.
And then I will call you back.
Imagine a small shark.
Of that inner light.
Moving to a place in the body.
Where you can keep it safe.
You can access.
The pea.
And safety contained within this light,
Whenever you wish.
As you bring awareness back to your body.
You begin.
To notice sensations.
Around you.
Feel the surface upon which you rest.
Gently move your toes and fingertips.
Allow awareness to return gradually.
And when you are ready.
Open your eyes.
And allow them to focus.
Welcome back May you maintain a feeling of safety throughout your day and night.
Come back to this meditation.
When the feeling slips away.
And you want to revisit a safe space.
Be well,
My friends,
And I hope to connect with you again soon.
