So let's begin.
So find a comfortable position away.
From as much distractions as possible.
So phones on silence.
Or turned off.
Um.
.
.
Reminds me,
I've got to do that.
As well.
Course so I will do that now and uh.
.
.
Done and but if distractions do arise during the meditation Welcome them.
There is nothing to resist,
Nothing to try to change during or in fact any time.
Welcoming reality as it is.
Making peace with the present moment in whatever shape or form it takes.
This is the core of the practice.
And thus as we cultivate a sense of acceptance and surrender into the present moment.
During this meditation.
Please take that into consideration.
Every moment,
Not just the time that we are here together,
But at every moment of life too.
Realign with the reality of this moment.
Every moment.
Make peace with every moment,
Make peace with life.
So thank you again for being in this space with me.
Me with each other and in presence.
So let's begin.
A sense of stillness wherever you are,
Just noticing the space you're in gently bring your attention onto the breath,
Just noticing the gentleness of the breath.
You may like to take a deep breath just to find a sense of Calm,
Deep breathing brings a sense of calm so we can take a deep breath together.
And a gentle exhale.
Another one.
And just let go and allow your breath to be natural,
Gentle.
Allow it to be as it is.
No need to change the rhythm of the breath Just notice the sensation of the inhalation and exhalation as you breathe in and breathe out.
Notice the coolness of the air as you breathe in.
You may like to close your eyes.
Notice the gentle movement of the breath through the body,
The gentle expansion and contraction of the chest and belly.
As you breathe out notice the sensation of the exhalation,
The warmth of the air as it flows out of the nostrils.
And continue to pay attention to the rhythm of the breath.
The gentle expansion and contraction.
Of the chest and belly rising and falling.
Sensation of the breath as it moves through the nostrils.
The coolness.
The worms.
The Subtle.
Temperature and subtle sensations of the breath.
Notice the sensation of the breath around the upper lip.
Around the nostrils.
Can you feel the breath as you breathe in and breathe out?
Feel the breath.
As you feel the breath.
Know.
That you're closer to reality at this moment than any thought can ever be.
That we spend so much time and thinking.
We're fully present with what is.
And if thoughts do arise and pass away,
Allow thoughts to arise and pass away whether they're pleasant or unpleasant.
Doesn't matter.
Thoughts of the past,
Future.
Judgments.
Memories,
Imagination.
Allow all thoughts to come and go without your resistance without trying to change anything without a need to resist,
Without a need to change.
Simply allowing.
Making peace with this moment.
In whatever shape or form it takes.
And the mind is part of that reality.
And so is your breath.
So sense your breath.
As you step out of the stream of thoughts.
And into Presence.
And so allow the nature.
And the natural state of the breath.
To be as it is.
Nothing to change.
Nothing to resist.
And nothing to cling on to.
For everything.
In form arises and passes.
Constantly changing.
And there you are in stillness,
In presence,
Alone.
Allowing the suchness of this moment in whatever shape or form it takes.
Solar.
And rest in presence.
Just be with the breath.
And expand your presence into the chest and belly noticing the gentle rising and falling of the chest and belly expanding your presence into your arm sensing the weight of your arms and hands.
And fingers.
Expanding your presence into every cell and every atom of the body.
Expanding and shaping the organ.
Spend it.
Into the.
.
.
Chest,
Upper chest,
Neck.
Shoulders.
Into the face,
The jaw,
The cheeks,
The nose.
Expanding towards the scalp and forehead.
Just sense.
This moment through being present with every cell and every atom.
Every sensation.
And expand it now into the rest of the body,
Towards the lower part of the body,
Towards the tailbone.
Expanded into the groin.
The thighs.
And knees,
Calves and feet.
Notice where.
.
.
Your body is making contact with whatever is supporting you.
And allow the sensation.
To be there,
Whatever it is.
Allow this moment to unfold in whatever shape or form that it does.
Let your breath bring you home.
To this moment.
And at this moment to be as it is,
As exactly as it is.
Does not need to be anything different.
And this moment sometimes may seem pleasant or unpleasant to the mind when you make peace with it.
A sense of unconditional ease and peace.
Arises within.
Deep peace.
That is beyond this world.
Unconditioned Unconditional ever present.
Ever accessible.
And regardless of the external circumstances you can always find this peace within you.
It's always there.
And it only arises when you make peace with the present moment in whatever shape or form it is.
When you make peace with the present moment.
In whatever shape or form it is.
And as more and more of us make peace with life,
Peace will become the dominant state of our society.
Aaron Barm.
Humanity.
Then we can allow that peace to flow into our relationships with others.
With nature,
With life.
But it all starts with us.
Cultivate a sense of ease and peace with ourselves.
With this moment.
Allow this moment as we align ourselves with reality.
Every moment.
.
.
Moment by moment.
To allow this moment to be.
For it is exactly as it needs to be at this moment.
And take this state of ease and peace with you into every moment.
Making the decision again and again to align with this moment again and again.
So allow yourself to rest in that peace.
It is always there.
So this simple practice we carry with us in every moment.
Not just when we're here in meditation,
Not when.
.
.
Not just when we're here together,
But we can carry it into every moment of life.
To every situation.
To work with reality,
Not against it,
To let go.
Of the mind's desire for reality to be something different.
To what it actually is.
Every one of us,
Each and every one of us.
Have a mind.
That has the tendency to resist reality,
That is always seeking something else.
Something better,
Something more.
Or avoiding.
Seeking and avoiding is a natural state of the mind but when you realize that and observe it with kindness and compassion.
Without resistance.
You allow that natural state of ease and peace arise within you.
The unconditional,
Unconditioned peace.
And that is the peace of God that passes all understanding.
And all sacred traditions point to this.
No matter which one… They all call us to return home.
To presence,
To stillness,
To the infinite.
And so many other words.
That point to the same truth.
Continue.
Aligning and realigning ourselves with truth.
Every moment.
Not the mind-made truth in our heads.
For the truth of this moment.
To trust.
To surrender.
To be with.
This moment.
And so we embrace the imperfection of every moment.
And find the perfection that lies beneath.
The constant flow of change in perfection.
As you make peace.
With the flaws of every moment.
The completeness wholeness perfection.
That pervades and permeates all time and space beyond change,
Beyond imperfection arises.
Within you and without you.
In every moment.
And then you can move through life and work with life.
Work with all challenges that arise in life.
With a sense of ease and peace.
Not with resistance or opposition.
Anxiety Stress.
Depression.
Begins to diminish because you're aligning with life.
We're working with life,
Not against it.
And sometimes things may go your way or more accurately.
They go the way the mind wants it and sometimes it doesn't go the way the mind wants it when you rise above the mind.
It matters not.
You allow the mind to judge but you do not.
Full prey.
Or believe every thought that arises.
Our thoughts are always biased.
So make peace with reality.
Every moment.
Allow it to be.
Work with it.
And always use the breath and body as anchors to presence,
Continuously returning to the breath and body as many times as you can sensing the breath regardless of what you're doing or what you're not doing.
Working,
Walking,
Sitting,
Resting.
In solitude or with others,
Matters not.
Constantly returning home to the present moment.
To the breath,
To the body.
Sensing this moment again and again.
So let us take this practice with us.
The rest of the day and week to notice imperfections and embrace imperfections in yourself in others in situations constantly embracing imperfection.
And notice how the quality of your presence changes the quality of your life the quality of your relationships.
Your health.
Your peace of mind.
When you say yes to life every moment,
Life says yes to you.
Life mirrors back.
The peace that you make with it.
So make peace with every moment.
Every thought,
Every emotion,
Pleasant,
Unpleasant.
Make peace with your own resistance for there will be moments where you will resist life,
So make peace with the fact that you do.
And peace re-emerges again within you.
Nothing to resist.
Remember there is nothing to resist.
But all resistance creates suffering.
And surrender brings peace.
So continue to bring your attention back to the breath and body as many times as you can throughout your day and night.
And to find every opportunity to.
Bring a sense of peace and ease into every moment.
To accept the moment as it is,
To accept imperfections,
Flaws of every moment in form,
For all form is imperfect.
There is no form.
That will ever be perfect.
The human mind has the illusion that there is,
But there is none.
Forms will always be imperfect.
But as you Embrace dead reality.
Perfection.
That lies beyond form reveals itself within you.
And in all of creation.
So take yourself into every moment through the breath,
Through the body.
Notice.
Continuously notice.
Cultivate the power of presence through noticing without judgment noticing your own weaknesses,
Imperfections.
They're only seen through the Veil of the mind for the mind judges things.
But as you continue to just simply notice you rise above.
Thoughts?
And judgment.
And at least you can glimpse the realm that lies beyond.
The human mind.
The realm that was here before humanity even existed.
Before creation even existed.
The realm.
Of the infinite.
Obtain a glimpse of that,
All else is secondary.
All else is secondary,
Arising and passing,
Birth and death,
Constant change.
They're that deep sense of connection with the infinite.
You carry with you.
And presence becomes your primary practice.
So that you can work with life with ease and peace.
And all actions.
Arising from that place of deep peace.
For all actions that arise from a place of deep peace and ease are in alignment with the well-being of yourself and others and nature.
And all actions that arise from resistance are in opposition.
And create more suffering for yourself and others.
To continue this practice.
And keep noticing.
This practice is for all all of us each and every one of us to continuously bring this practice into every moment to not notice and mind's resistance to reality.
And gently bring ourselves back home.
To reality.
Accepting.
Embracing,
Surrendering into this moment every moment.
Cultivating this sense of ease and peace with life.
So to cultivate this practice we need to practice it.
You can't.
We can't think our way.
Into this practice.
But to actually doing it every moment.
To allow this moment again and again,
Making that decision,
Making that choice.
A trusting life.
And to learn how to make peace with life.
Something we never learned at school or at home.
No one taught us how to make peace with life.
If we had learned how to make peace with life.
We will have a peaceful society.
It's as simple as that.
But we never learned it.
So we learn it now.
At least for us,
For those around us.
For our children.
For our grandchildren.
Not only practice but to also teach this practice to those around us.
Not expect them to immediately become present or practice it.
May take time.
But it is the most important factor in the survival of our species.
If we are to survive,
We have to cultivate this practice.
So please take this practice with you into every moment.
Again and again.
