Before we begin,
Please find a comfortable position to sit or lie down and gently bring your attention into the breath,
Into the body and really feel your own presence in the space you're in,
Feel your own presence.
Often we're lost in thinking,
Which is always one step away from reality,
Bringing attention into the breath and body,
Which is always one step closer to reality,
Gateways into the realm of the infinite.
So at this moment you may like to close your eyes and bring your attention into the breath,
Feeling the breath and feeling the sensation of the breath as you naturally breathe in and breathe out.
This practice may seem boring to the mind,
Be gentle with the mind's constant resistance,
To paying attention to the breath and body,
Acknowledge the mind's resistance and bypass the mind's command by intentionally bringing your attention into the breath and feeling the breath,
Feel the breath and feel the sensation of the breath.
Feel the sensation of the breath around the upper lip,
Around the nostrils,
As you breathe in and breathe out,
Notice the sensation of the coolness and the warmth of the air as you breathe in and breathe out.
Follow the breath,
Follow the breath into the back of the throat,
Notice the sensation of the coolness of the air as you pass through the back of the throat,
Entering the lungs,
Noticing the rising and falling of the chest and belly,
The gentle rising and falling of the chest and belly.
So,
Be present with it,
Be with your breath,
Be with the sensations and allow yourself to sink deeper into the present moment,
Becoming more still and relaxed.
Begin to expand your awareness beyond the chest and belly to the rest of your body,
Your arms,
Your back,
Legs and feet.
Notice where your body is making contact with the chair or the ground or the bed,
Or the ground or the bed.
Notice how you are supported by the gravity of our planet.
Notice how you're always grounded here and now,
Always present.
The mind may distract us from presence,
But the intentional awareness of our own breath and body allows us to return to the present moment naturally,
Effortlessly,
Effortlessly,
Without the need to be anywhere special.
You can do this practice anywhere and anytime by returning to the breath and body.
And the mind's constant attempt to take you away from the present moment by thinking about the past,
Memories,
Or imagining the future imaginations of what is not.
So,
Notice the memories and imaginations arising and passing,
Constantly changing.
The mind always finds problems and concerns.
So,
Be kind to the mind's natural state and desires to be somewhere else,
Somewhere other than this moment,
And let it go.
Let the mind be as it is.
Let the mind be as it is.
All of our minds have very similar characteristics,
Regrets about the past,
Desires to be somewhere better.
That's a natural inclination of the mind.
So,
As we meditate here and return to presence,
Acknowledge,
Acknowledge and accept the fact that that's just the nature of the mind.
The complaints,
Resistance,
Wanting,
Not wanting,
Clinging,
Liking and disliking,
All of that we share.
It is the human condition,
The human experience,
And not even one person is immune to this.
No one is immune to this.
So,
For a moment,
Acknowledge that and feel the peace that arises from acceptance of the nature of the mind,
Acceptance of the mind's constant desires and dislikes.
The mind's prejudices,
Acknowledge,
Acknowledge and then let go.
For now,
You're rising above the mind and entering the space of who you truly are,
Beyond the thoughts,
Beyond the labels.
Beyond thinking who you are,
You are now entering the realm of the infinite.
So,
Allow yourself to rest in the space of pure presence.
So,
Feel the peace of this natural state of who you truly are beyond your thoughts and labels.
Beyond what you've been told about who you are or the beliefs about who you think you are,
Enter the space of who you truly are right now and feel the peace and the loving presence that is always there.
This space of pure presence allows the natural state of the universe to manifest through you,
The natural state of the universe that is harmonious and peaceful and loving.
So,
Allow yourself to become present to that.
Allow yourself to enter the space of infinity,
Recognizing a reality beyond birth and death,
Arising and passing,
Change.
And in that space,
You have a new perspective on life.
The little me that is trying to survive begins to become subservient to this higher dimension subservient to this higher dimension that is accepting and loving of all that there is.
That caresses,
Embraces the lower self,
The small self,
The little me that is afraid in loving arms and loving presence.
So,
Allow yourself to feel that infinite love that is at the core of all creation,
That all saints and sages and prophets have been pointing to for centuries,
For thousands of years.
And we continuously misinterpret and turn away from that infinite that they are always pointing to.
And we get lost in stories,
Lost in beliefs,
Lost in the mind,
Forgetting the infinite love,
The creative force of the universe that is at the depth of our own being.
And the depth of the being of all creation from the center of the universe,
The being of all creation from the seed to the saint to the sea.
Allow yourself to rest in that loving presence that permeates all time and space.
You may go here and there,
But you can always return home.
Return home again and again.
Return to your sacred source of life and love and peace.
Feel that loving presence that is permeating every cell and every atom of your body.
Returning to the breath and body allows you to rediscover that,
Rediscover that loving presence that is always there,
A presence that the mind can never touch or understand or comprehend.
The natural state of the mind is to help,
Survival,
Which is always secondary to presence,
To the primal source of all of life and love.
For our bodies will arise,
Are born,
And die,
Pass away,
Each and every one of us.
And making peace with that realm,
That reality,
Allows us to make peace with life.
Survival will then become secondary to presence.
Presence with God takes primary and secondary,
Secondary,
Secondary,
Secondary,
Secondary,
Secondary,
Secondary,
Secondary,
Takes primary,
And the highest order becomes the one truth that you can rest in peace.
And within that peace and within that loving presence,
You begin to manifest the loving presence of God in your relationships with yourself,
With others,
Close to you and those afar,
With the planet,
With nature.
The quality of your presence manifests itself in the quality of your actions.
You act from a place of peace and loving presence.
You allow yourself to live in surrender,
Which is the direct pathway into peace and love.
Even the dark sides of yourself can be placed in this loving presence.
Even the darkness can be placed into light,
And then darkness begins to diminish as light takes over.
Not through resistance,
Not through fighting,
Not through non-acceptance,
But through allowing,
Loving,
Being,
Shedding light into all darkness,
Through loving presence and acceptance,
Kindness.
That was the only pathway that was being taught and forgotten.
That was the only message that was brought that was twisted,
Misinterpreted,
Altered,
And lost.
So by being present,
We can return to the teachings of the saints and the prophets.
Sages that have all come and gone,
Pointing us to this truth,
To this truth of loving presence that is always within you,
That is permeating time and space.
As you get lost in daily affairs,
Continuously and gently return to presence.
Each moment of suffering and forgetfulness is a hint,
A pointer that we have lost our presence again.
And all we need to do is to return again,
Return to the breath,
To the body,
To presence,
The return to God,
The return to love.
That is beyond all these words that I'm speaking.
They can only be felt through the infinite presence of your own being.
So return again and again.
Know that this practice of presence is something that is with you at every moment of your life.
No matter where you are,
No matter who you are,
No matter what you've done in the past or what you haven't done in the past,
That loving presence is always there for you to heal every cell and every atom of your body,
Your mind,
Your heart.
Loving presence is always there for you.
For God is always there for you.
For God is always there for you.
So return again and again and allow yourself to be nourished,
Nurtured,
Healed in that loving presence of God within.
That infinite presence that permeates all time and space beyond any belief or imagination,
Beyond all the concepts you have created for the infinite,
For the source of life,
All those concepts that are contradictory with the one infinite light and love that permeates time and space.
So return again and again and let go of all thought forms so that you can truly experience God,
Not in thought or belief,
But in reality,
In the reality that can only be felt within you.
And you will know,
Through your own presence and stillness,
You will know.
You will recognize what the mystics,
The saints have been pointing to and experienced for themselves,
What they want for you to experience for yourself.
To burn up thought and return to God again.
Burn up all your identities of who you think you are,
That have created separation,
Segregation,
Violence,
Crime,
Hatred.
To burn up all those identities and return to God again and again.
Your presence will transform the world.
Your own presence will heal everything that it touches.
Your own presence will allow the infinite light and love to heal your heart and mind and soul,
Directed in the right path.
Nourish your relationships with others,
With life,
With nature.
To the mind,
This transformation may be overwhelming and even scary.
But trust,
Trust in what unfolds,
Trust in who you are.
Trust in what unfolds and allow that transformation to take place in whatever form it takes.
And each and every one of us will have a unique path in this transformative process.
The new world order will unfold in time.
So return again and again and have trust.
As we come close to the end of our meditation together,
Know that you have access to this anytime and anywhere.
Your breath and your body are with you.
So return again and again.
Your presence will transform your life and transform the world.
Thank you for being in this space with me and with each other.
May you always be in presence.
May God be with you at every single moment.
And every moment that you lose your presence,
Return again and again.
And your presence will become the dominant state.
This shift from the state of constant thinking and returning to presence will transform your life and will transform our world.
Maybe not today or tomorrow,
But in time.
So have trust,
Patience and commitment to this practice.
And continue your practice throughout your day and night of returning to the breath,
To the body,
To divine presence that permeates all creation.
God bless you,
Each and every one of you.
Know that you are the most precious soul in this existence,
On this planet.
And at every moment,
You can touch lives and transform the world at every single moment.
God bless you.
Wherever you are,
Whoever you are,
May you be well and happy and at peace.
