Welcome to this therapeutic sound meditation.
I invite you to find a comfortable position to be in for the next while,
Whether that's sitting or lying down.
Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose,
Out through your mouth as you relax into your surroundings and another deep breath in.
This time we're going to breathe out with a gentle sigh.
Breathe in,
Out.
Now we're gonna ground into our bodies,
Bringing our attention to our feet,
Gently moving around.
Wiggle the toes,
Allowing your breath to soften and deepen.
Moving up to the ankles and calves,
Tensing and relaxing the muscles to release any tension.
The knees,
If you feel comfortable give your knees a gentle massage with your hands,
Letting go of any tension in the knee and bringing your attention up to your thighs,
Your hips,
Your buttocks.
Breathing in,
Tense your buttocks and breathing out,
Allow them to deeply relax.
Moving to your groin region and then the point halfway between your groin and your belly button.
Breathe in,
Just below your ribcage.
Here we're going to breathe in and out with a long ah sound.
So breathe in to the chest and then shoulders.
Gently rotate your shoulders,
Release any tension that may be there.
The face,
Give your face and head a gentle massage as well,
Releasing any tension there in your jaw,
Temples,
Your forehead.
Now bring your attention to your whole body,
Taking a deep breath in,
Tensing it all up and breathing out with a sigh.
And now as we move into the deep healing sounds of the yodaki or didgeridoo,
Allow your body to relax and ground even more.
If any uncomfortable feelings arise through the sound,
My invitation to you is to bring your attention to that part of the body where you feel it and breathe in and out,
Allowing whatever wants to come up to the surface.
There may be tears or crying,
Movement,
Shaking,
Sounds.
These are all perfectly normal and allowed.
Okay,
Let's begin.
Take a deep breath in and out and another,
Bringing your attention back to your body and your surroundings.
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Any other parts of your body that want to move.
If you're lying down,
Gently roll onto your right hand side and then come up into a sitting position.
When you feel ready,
Open your eyes.
