Hi friend,
And welcome to your morning affirmation.
Whether you are getting your day started or looking to get your day back on track,
I hope this quick mindful practice helps bring you whatever it is you need today.
Wherever you are,
Begin to settle your gaze or find a point that you can focus on.
If it's safe for you to do so,
I invite you to close your eyes here.
Begin to notice your breath.
Without judging,
Just seeing where you're at here and now.
What's going on in the body?
Maybe you notice voluntary or involuntary muscle twitches.
Or maybe you recognize that your breathing is a little short or choppy feeling.
See if you can begin to invite a nice steady inhale with a little bit more length than your natural breath.
Really pull the air into the belly.
Feel your navel push away from the spine.
And as you exhale,
Imagine that energy drawing from the base of your belly.
Navel pulling back in toward you and the air flowing up past your heart and out your nose.
Keep focusing on the breath,
Allowing yourself to sink down into your body and allow the mind to calm.
Keep cycling that energy in and out,
Breathing in through the nose,
Letting it flow all the way to the base of the tailbone.
And as you exhale,
Feel that energy as it pushes back up,
Flowing past your heart and back out to the open.
On your next natural inhale,
Begin to say to yourself,
I am capable.
Breathe it in and pull it down.
And as you exhale out,
Let any disbelief go with it.
On your next natural inhale,
Think,
I am confident.
And really breathe this into your soul.
Let it fill up your limbs and flow into your heart.
And exhale any fear.
Inhale and think,
I am resilient.
Feel the resilience pool into your mind,
Your spirit and body.
And exhale in flexibility.
Let's start that again.
Inhale,
I am capable.
Exhale,
Disbelief.
Inhale,
I am confident.
And exhale,
Fear.
Inhale,
I am resilient.
And exhale in flexibility.
Keep going to your natural breath,
Inhaling and reminding yourself,
I am capable.
Exhale,
Disbelief.
Inhale,
I am confident.
And exhale,
Let go of fear.
Inhale,
I am resilient.
And exhale in flexibility.
Keep this cycling through your mind with the breath.
Letting it flow how it feels good to you.
Don't get caught up if one of the words has changed.
Go with it.
Honor what your mind is saying.
Honor what your body is taking in.
And exhale anything that doesn't serve you.
Anything that isn't for you right here and right now.
Inhale that capability.
Inhale that confidence.
Inhale your resilience.
And exhale disbelief,
Fear and inflexibility.
Inhale what you need,
What serves you right now.
And exhale,
Let go,
Let go,
Let go of tension,
Stress and anything being held onto in the body.
Take a nice deep breath in,
Fill up the belly.
Feel the lungs expand.
Feel the air in your throat.
And when you feel that you have had enough,
Exhale and let it go.
Feeling the air leaving from the pit of your belly,
Flowing up past your heart and back into the open.
Let your breath return to normal.
Take a moment to check in with yourself here again.
Noticing if you're holding on to any tension.
Or maybe if you feel more naturally relaxed.
Just notice.
When you're ready,
Gently open the eyes.
And let your gaze return to normal,
Releasing the focus.
Thank yourself for being here today,
Friend.
And thank yourself for showing up every day.
