Who are the people in your graveyard?
The ones you have written off,
Discarded,
Decided were not worthy of your time,
Attention,
Or love.
Who are the people you have buried alive?
Consider that a part of you lies there with them unless you have made your peace.
This is not to say everyone deserves to be up close to you.
Boundaries are important,
Vital,
A sign of health.
Please don't misunderstand what I am saying.
Sometimes you may be too quick to ban someone when what is really needed is an outstretched hand,
Or an ounce of forgiveness,
Or an honest,
Clarifying conversation.
A surefire way to tell if something is amiss in you when you think it is all them is to ask this.
Is your graveyard sparsely populated,
Or is it overcrowded?
Full to overflowing is a signal to look in the mirror and see the one who needs to be resurrected first.
That being needs your love and forgiveness most of all.
Make peace with that precious soul.
And in time,
The graveyard will take care of itself.
