This bedtime story is the eleventh in the '12-days of Christmas bedtime stories' series, related to 'eleven pipers piping'. This bedtime story for grown-ups is about eleven bakers who have received invitations from the Queen to the great Christmas bake-off where the winning cake will be the centre-piece at the Royal Feast. The bakers attend the castle. They decorate and build gingerbread houses, craft the perfect yule logs, and the final challenge is to make the most grand Christmas cakes, the winning cake will be served at the Royal Feast. The queen selects the winning baker and their cake. The bakers get to attend the feast. At the end of the feast, the bakers stay that night in the castle, before heading back to their town the next day where they decide to prepare a feast for the town folk, so they hold a feast for everyone. After clearing away, the bakers went home, drifting asleep into Slumberland.
