When stress hits and you need relief now, this seven-minute practice hands you the most powerful reset button you already carry — your own breath and the sacred vibration of Om. You'll learn how this ancient sound physically calms your nervous system by activating your vagus nerve, interrupting the stress response not through mysticism but through pure mechanics. Then we'll chant Om (Aum) together, slow and sustained, letting each vibration shake loose whatever tension you've been holding in your body, your shoulders, your mind. No experience needed, no perfect conditions required — just you, one breath, and a single sound that turns chaos into crystal clarity. This is the practice you'll reach for before the big meeting, in the middle of a sleepless night, or any moment life feels like too much.

Take a breath with me.

Whatever you are,

Whatever your day has looked like,

Just take one breath.

You don't need an hour.

You don't need a quiet room.

You don't need perfect conditions.

You just need this moment,

And your breath,

And a single sacred sound.

The sound is Aum,

The most fundamental vibration in the Sanskrit tradition.

Aum is said to be the sound of the universe itself.

The vibration that underlies all of creation.

But forget about the philosophy for now.

Here's what matters.

When you chant Aum,

The vibration physically calms your nervous system.

It activates your vagus nerve,

The primary pathway between your brain and body that signals safety.

It interrupts the stress response at a physiological level.

This isn't mystical,

It's mechanical,

And it works fast.

Here's what we're going to do.

We will take three deep breaths together,

Then we'll chant Aum slowly,

Extending each sound for as long as comfortable.

That's it.

Take a breath right now.

In through your nose,

Out through your mouth.

Again,

Deeper this time.

Once more,

Let your shoulders drop on the exhale.

Now,

Take a breath in,

And as you exhale,

We'll chant Aum together.

Extend it slowly.

Let the sound last as long as your breath.

Ready?

Breathe in.

Again,

Breathe in.

Feel the vibration in your chest,

In your throat,

In your skull.

Let it shake loose whatever you've been holding.

Breathe in.

Notice how different you feel from two minutes ago.

This is always available to you.

In the car,

Before a meeting,

In the bathroom,

At work,

In bed,

When you can't sleep.

One breath,

One sound,

A reset button you carry with you everywhere.

Use it often.
