"Lectio Divina" (Latin for "Divine Reading") is a traditional monastic practice of scriptural reading, meditation, and prayer intended to promote communion with God and to increase the knowledge of God's word. A section of scripture is read then there is silence allowing for contemplation on what was just heard. This guided meditation is based on Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, found in Matthew 21:7-11.
