This 40-minute trauma sensitive yin yoga practice offers a slower, choice-based approach to movement, inviting opportunities for stillness, awareness, and gentle exploration within your body. In this practice, you’ll be offered a variety of shapes that you might choose to explore for a longer duration of time. You are always welcome to move, rest, adjust, or come out of any shape at any time for any reason. There is no right or wrong way to participate—only invitations to notice what feels supportive for you in each moment. Yin yoga offers the opportunity to explore more passive shapes, often held for a few minutes at a time, which may support gentle engagement with deeper connective tissues such as fascia, ligaments, and joints. Through a trauma-sensitive lens, this practice emphasizes choice, autonomy, and present-moment awareness—allowing space for your experience to unfold in your own way.
