Let's drop into the meditation now.
Connecting to images.
Awakening the intuitive sense.
Find a comfortable seat.
Either with your feet firmly on the ground oil crust.
In lotus position.
Semi-lotus position.
Taking a couple of deep breaths.
Relaxing into the body.
But not detaching.
Shoulders relaxed.
Hands resting on your knees or in your lap.
Crown reaching up.
Jaw relaxed.
Relaxing your tongue and your mouth.
The tongue is connected to the mind and when you let it hang out a little bit,
Like a sleeping cat,
It also relaxes the mind.
So if you're comfortable doing that,
You can.
.
.
Let your tongue become really loose.
In your mouth.
And even let it stick out a little bit.
Locating the breath.
Where it is the most natural.
Where your attention can rest on it lightly.
Sharon Salzberg.
He uses the image of seeing a friend in a crowd of people.
You don't have to shove everyone away,
Push them aside and be violent to get to your friend.
Just keeping your attention to your friend and lightly moving between the figures.
Until you reach them,
And that's how we focus on the breath.
There is my friend.
There is my breath.
And when thoughts come up.
You deal with them patiently and gently like those you are sifting through to get your friend in the crowd.
Scanning your body for any tension,
Any holding.
Using your inhalation to breathe space into that place.
And exhale to let go.
I want you to imagine.
That golden light again.
This time.
Growing in your heart.
Your creative capacity and potential.
Taking flame in your heart space.
Lighting up your entire chest,
The cavity that holds your heart.
In the back of your heart.
Where there's warmth,
Potential.
This energy that is uniquely yours.
Sense the quality of your creative capacity quality of your light.
Sparkling,
Dancing,
Dynamic.
And so we're going to follow the movement from the heart.
And this light is going to float up.
Her throat.
It's just spreading,
It's still in the heart so you can imagine from the heart space the golden light is circling out moving to your throat,
Illuminating something there something that might be stuck and sticky that might hold you from speaking your truth,
Voicing your desire At the same time it circles out past your diaphragm and drops into your gut.
Seeing this wider circle now,
The heart in the middle.
The throat lit up.
The gut lit up.
And as a pebble was dropped into water,
This ripple,
This circling out of energy can be just that,
A ripple.
Feel it.
Expanded.
Lighting up.
The centre of expression,
The voice.
And the center of intuition.
God.
From the center of knowing.
Love and emotion,
A heart.
From the drum in your chest that holds the rhythm of your life.
Noticing in each of these spaces what you find there take a moment to observe and to feel without judgment Now this ripple is creating another circle,
Another movement outwards,
Lighting up your mind space,
Your third eye and your womb space.
The sacral chakra.
The root chakra.
Space where passion and life is created.
Feel your pelvic bone,
Feel your groin,
Your bum,
Relaxing that space at the same time Relaxing the mind.
Golden.
And as if you're watching a movie,
You're now going to imagine that light moving from the mind,
From the roots,
Through the guts,
Through the throats,
Into the heart,
And back out your body,
A thread of light reaching through the back of the heart,
The back of the body connecting to the creative ancestor that feels the most prominent in your story.
The person that has had the most influence,
Good or bad.
The person that you carry with you that if I ask who else is a part of your creative script this person comes to mind or to heart and maybe you want to avoid that Maybe it feels scary.
I urge you to in the golden light illuminate them now,
Standing behind you.
Acknowledging the influence.
Acknowledging the stories.
Acknowledging the lineage that you have inherited.
Whether it be a parent,
An aunt,
Different adult,
Like a teacher,
Someone you looked up to.
And just observe what comes to mind.
Don't push it.
Don't try to change it.
If this is an uncomfortable truce,
If this is something that feels sticky,
That's okay.
We're going to work with that.
If it feels supportive,
Rest into that.
Allow that.
Now behind this person you can imagine the thread continuing,
The golden thread.
To whoever is behind them.
And maybe you don't have access to the actual person,
But you can imagine a kind of shadow.
Or a golden light behind them and the shape of a person.
The person who influenced them.
And just feel into the energy that is there.
Maybe you sense the hurt that was carried through the person tormented you.
Maybe you sense the hurt that was carried through into the person who tormented you.
Maybe you sense the acceptance,
The love and the guidance.
Or the disconnect,
Just be open.
To whatever arises.
Don't judge it,
Don't doubt it,
Just let it be.
And you could continue this motion of imagining the line.
Behind you.
Maybe it sprouts to others.
From your most recent history.
Maybe there's a kind of council forming around you of figures connected to you through this golden light some supportive and some blocking From your observer's perspective,
Your eagle's perch,
Just watch who comes to mind and place them in this council behind you,
Around you.
Some might be quite close and confronting.
Others might be further out,
Distant.
You are going to take a moment now to acknowledge the gifts.
That exists in this ancestral map,
In this constellation.
And you can say out loud in your home language,
Thank you for the gifts.
I take what is supportive to my path,
To my life,
To my choices.
I take what nourish and support and enliven.
I take what catalyze.
I am grateful.
And then to those.
Who have maybe planted seeds of doubt and hurt and distance to your creative spirit in you.
You say,
I see you,
I see the pain that you carried and it stops here with me.
I give back to you what no longer serves me and that which was never mine to carry.
And now as if watching a movie you're going to see this golden light,
This golden threads that connect to all these people,
All of your light that has been spread and attached I'm going to pull it all back into you again into your heart until it's in its full capacity,
Illuminating you from the inside.
And just bask in this feeling.
Of being reunited with your agency.
Being resourced and gifted.
By those who walked before you.
And by having the choice of what you perpetuate in your lifetime,
In your creative endeavors.
Letting go of the visualization,
You can start to come back into this room.
Grounding in the present moment through sounds.
Stretching.
Yawning,
Sighing,
Keeping your eyes closed,
You can get up.
Standing.
I want you to do a little shake in your body.
Shaking off the old,
Shaking off what's not yours,
Shaking off the stories and the patterns that you perpetuated unconsciously,
Shaking off the visual meditation,
The encounters with what might be uncomfortable,
Shaking your hands,
Your shoulders,
Your hips and feet,
Shaking out your jaw.
And you can sound while doing this.
Sound is very important.
We learn to cry silently.
Be angry silently to be alone in our emotion for no one to hear and throughout this course sound is going to become increasingly important.
So sigh it out,
Shake it up.
Gently open your eyes.
Noting the day that you are in.
May the Muse be with you.
