This meditation is an invitation to awaken to your day and yourself with a spark of joy.
Joy is inherent to the human spirit.
Joy is your source for resilience and creativity.
Joy is your birthright.
Joy is your anchor and the compass that brings you back to the truth of who you are,
Your essence and your most powerful self.
Close your eyes or lower your gaze.
Notice your breath.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale out the mouth.
Take another deep breath in deep in the belly,
Through your nose and with the exhalation give your mind and body permission to relax.
Feel yourself in your body.
Notice where your seat meets the chair or the bed or perhaps where your feet meet the ground.
Feel yourself anchored and rooted.
You can do this by imagining that you drop roots from your tailbone that make their way down deep into the earth.
If it's more useful,
You can also imagine dropping your energy down into the earth.
Feel yourself anchored and rooted.
Deep and slow breath in and with the exhalation clear and quiet the mind.
If at any time during this meditation you find your mind wandering,
Gently and without judgment give the mind the task to follow the breath.
Our minds like to have jobs.
In the best case scenario,
We direct the mind to work for us and for our highest good.
Set the intention in this meditation to release any thoughts,
Habits,
Feelings or energies conscious or unconscious that do not spark joy.
Let us intend to open up to joy as a frequency of source,
The creator of all things.
This frequency is also deeply encoded in your soul and your body.
May you remember the joy you already possess.
Deep breath into the body and a slow exhale out the mouth with some sound this time.
Thank you body,
Thank you heart,
Thank you breath.
Focus your attention on your heart.
Breathe into your heart space.

Imagine a small spark of bright yellow light at the center of your heart.
Imagine that it begins to expand,
Filling your chest,
Spreading up to your head and your brain and spreading down your body,
Arms,
Legs,
Feet.
Watch it spread out beyond your body and form a sphere of protection that encircles you in your space.
Feel safe in your body.
Feel safe in your heart.
Feel safe in your breath.
Deep breath into the heart and exhale out the mouth.
Begin to sense into the spaces where your body is holding old stories,
Feelings,
Emotions,
Tension,
Aches.
You only need to witness,
No need to name or judge.
Just notice.
Then give permission to release.
Deep breath in.
Notice and witness.
And then release with a shhhh.
Let the release be easy,
Automatic.
Take a moment now to witness the body and the breath.
Where was the release?
Any shifts?
Ease?
No right or wrong,
Simply notice.
Another deep breath into the body.
And at the top of the breath,
Take a tiny sip more of air and hold.
When you feel ready,
Release the breath with an audible ahhh.
Bring your focus back to the heart.
And see if you can sense where the joy lives in your heart.
Perhaps your body can remember a time when you experienced joy or you can imagine it.
The imagination is a powerful tool.
Imagine what joy feels like in your body.
Where do you feel it?
How does it feel?
If you're feeling a bit resistant,
That's okay.
Be with it.
Witness it.
Maybe allow the corners of your mouth to break out into a small smile.
Be with the sensations that are present.
Deep breath into the body.
And exhale out the mouth.
Wherever you're at with your joy is perfect.
And we're going to give it a little boost.
Imagine that there is a beautiful little door at the top of your head at your crown chakra.
Open the door.
Now notice a small sphere of light just above your head.
This warm,
Bright and beautiful light is pure joy at the frequency of source.
Watch as the sphere gently drops into the top of your head and begins to spread down your head,
Your brain.
Melting down your face,
Jaw,
Neck,
Chest,
Body.
Every cell,
Muscle,
Organ is infused with this joyful,
Playful light.
Down your chest,
Filling your heart.
See your heart expanding bigger and bigger,
Filled with this beautiful joy.
Down the belly,
Abdomen,
Pelvis.
Continue to fill up until every cell is buzzing with joy.
Take as much as you need.
There is always more.
The universe is abundant.
Deep breath into the body.
Witness them.
Let them move.
I'm going to be silent for a few minutes here.
Keep basking,
Witnessing,
Filling up,
Breathing in joy.
