Ride The Wave | Yoga Asana For Grief
In this guided slow-flow vinyasa practice we’ll explore the connection between the physical body and the emotional experience of grief, starting with the body as our most tangible and accessible tool.
We’ll focus on the chest, heart space, and lungs—physical areas where grief often resides.
Through gentle backbends, also known as heart openers, we’ll create space in these areas, supporting the release of any pent-up emotions, particularly grief.
In this session you will also experience the healing power of tapping as a way of releasing pent-up emotions from the physical body.
Our practice will build towards the peak pose, Camel (Ustrasana), with modifications offered throughout to ensure you can move within your limits and honour your body. We’ll then wind down with a gentle cool-down sequence and integrate the practice in Savasana.
