O que você irá aprender
Embark on a deeply experiential and embodied journey into the heart of human emotions with this 4-day course. Drawing from the rich traditions of yoga, Jungian shadow work, yoga psychology and modern alchemy, this course offers practical tools and practices to help you navigate the often tumultuous wave of emotions with greater clarity and resilience. Over 4 transformative days, you will explore a range of practices designed to build emotional fluency, especially with those emotions often labeled as ‘unsavoury’ or ‘undesirable' with a special focus on 'grief'. We will explore the emotion of grief, allowing you to experience its layers and nuances through an asana practice on Day 1, a visualisation on Day 2 , Grief Work on Day 3 and a talk on Forgiveness on Day 4. Recognizing that everyone connects differently, this course offers a diverse toolkit: For those drawn to movement, the physical practices will be a grounding force. For reflective souls, the contemplative exercises will deepen understanding. For knowledge seekers, the insights shared will provide a rich theoretical foundation. The intention is to honour this diversity and invite you to explore what resonates most with your unique journey. Together, we’ll reframe this ‘negative’ emotion, learning to embrace and harness it as a powerful ally for personal growth and transformation. These practices have been a daily anchor in my life, and I’m honoured to share them with you. Trigger Warning: This practice may include references to death. Ride The Wave | Yoga Asana For Grief
In this guided slow-flow vinyasa practice we’ll explore the connection between the physical body and the emotional experience of grief, starting with the body as our most tangible and accessible tool. We’ll focus on the chest, heart space, and lungs—physical areas where grief often resides. Through gentle backbends, also known as heart openers, we’ll create space in these areas, supporting the release of any pent-up emotions, particularly grief. In this session you will also experience the healing power of tapping as a way of releasing pent-up emotions from the physical body. Our practice will build towards the peak pose, Camel (Ustrasana), with modifications offered throughout to ensure you can move within your limits and honour your body. We’ll then wind down with a gentle cool-down sequence and integrate the practice in Savasana. Music composed by Narek Mirzaei (Music of Wisdom)
