O que você irá aprender
This course is a step-by-step journey into the ancient art of pranayama: the yogic science of the breath. You’ll learn how to use your breath not only to support the body, but to calm the mind, balance your emotions, and awaken the vital life force within you. Across seven modules, we will explore both the philosophy and the practice of pranayama. You’ll begin by discovering what prana truly is, and why the yogic tradition calls it the bridge between body and mind. From there, you’ll learn the foundations of breathing, guidelines for safe practice, and classic techniques passed down by the sages of India, including Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), Kapalabhati (breath of fire), Bhastrika (bellows breath), Bhramari (humming bee breath), and Udgeeth (OM breath). Each module combines clear explanations with guided practice so that you not only understand pranayama, but also experience its effects directly. By the end of the course, you will: Gain a deep understanding of what pranayama is and why it is essential to yoga. Learn how to breathe with awareness and recognise the four main types of yogic breathing. Practice powerful techniques for calming, energising, and balancing body and mind. Understand traditional guidelines for practice, including posture, time of day, and preparation. Develop a personal pranayama toolkit you can use anytime - for stress relief, focus, relaxation, or inner connection. This course is for anyone; from beginners curious about breathwork to experienced practitioners seeking to deepen their understanding of yoga beyond the physical postures. With consistency, you’ll discover that your own breath holds the key to inner peace, vitality, and clarity.

Lição 1
What Is Pranayama?
In this first lesson, we’ll explore the true meaning of pranayama as a practice that connects the body, mind, and vital energy (prana). You’ll learn how yogic traditions view the breath as a bridge between the physical and the spiritual. Our practice will be simple: noticing the breath as it is, building awareness as the foundation for everything that follows.
Lição 2
The Four Types Of Yogic Breathing
This lesson introduces the four types of breathing in yoga: diaphragmatic, thoracic, clavicular, and full yogic breathing. You’ll learn how each type affects the body and nervous system, and why yogis emphasise deep, conscious breathing. The guided practice will be Dirgha Pranayama, or three-part breathing, to experience the fullness of your breath.
Lição 3
Guidelines For Pranayama & Kapalabhati
Here we’ll cover traditional guidelines for pranayama: when and where to practice, posture, food considerations, and precautions. These teachings help create the right inner and outer conditions so your practice becomes safe, effective, and sustainable. Our practice will be Kapalabhati, the cleansing breath, to energise the body and clear the mind.
Lição 4
Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing)
This lesson is devoted to Nadi Shodhana, one of the most beloved pranayamas. You’ll learn about its benefits for calming the mind, balancing the nervous system, and harmonising the flow of energy through the body. We’ll explore how to practice it step by step, followed by a guided session.
Lição 5
Bhastrika (Bellows Breath)
In this session we’ll practice Bhastrika, or Bellows Breath; a dynamic pranayama that builds vitality and clears mental fog. We’ll discuss its benefits, how it differs from Kapalabhati, and precautions for practice. This technique awakens inner fire and can leave you feeling energised and alert.
Lição 6
Bhramari (Humming Bee Breath)
This lesson introduces Bhramari Pranayama, the humming bee breath. You’ll discover how its soothing sound vibrations calm the mind, reduce stress, and create a sense of inner spaciousness. The guided practice will help you experience the healing power of sound and vibration from within.
Lição 7
Udgeeth (OM Chanting Breath)
In our final module, we’ll explore Udgeeth Pranayama, or OM chanting with the breath. This ancient practice unites sound, breath, and awareness, connecting us to the vibration of universal consciousness. We’ll close the course with this practice and reflect on how pranayama can become a lifelong companion for inner peace and vitality.
