Stories To Reflect

Por Esther Rojas Merino

Comece o Dia 1
O que você irá aprender
Do you like stories? We often think that stories are just for children, that adults no longer enter that wonderful world that transports us to other times and places, to meet characters who teach us through their lives and experiences. But a story is a tale that invites us to think, to bring our imagination to situations that make us reflect. That is what I propose in this short course. Let yourself be carried away by these four stories and invite your mind to reflect.  This course was recorded in Hugo's voice. Hugo is an elementary school English teacher and a passionate about psychology and personal growth.  I hope this course can be useful to you. I'll wait for you.
Esther was always interested in human psychology, trying to understand how people can live with a clearer mind and a peaceful heart. That's why she studied and earned a degree in psychology, and later, passionate about meditation, she became a certified mindfulness instructor so she could share this beautiful philosophy of life with others.

The True Value Of Ring
I invite you to reflect for a moment: ¿What would you say self-esteem is? ¿Do you believe you value yourself unconditionally? This session begins with the reading of a wonderful story entitled "The Value of the Ring." The story tells the story of a boy who is troubled by the comments others make about him. When he goes to a wise, old teacher to explain his sorrow, the teacher proposes a task that will help him understand why he struggles to love himself unconditionally as he is. The story gives us an opportunity to reflect on what self-esteem is and is not.

The Six Blind Men And The Elephant
In this second session, I explain the story of the wise blind men and the elephant, a story that speaks to the importance of knowing how to listen to others and being able to accept their point of view, even if it is completely opposite to our own. In this fast-paced society, we have lost the ability to listen, not only to others but also to ourselves and even to the planet we live on.

The Cracked Vessel
¡What a beautiful story I'm sharing with you in this session! The first time I read it, I was deeply moved. I think we can draw several insights from its story, but in this session, I wanted to talk about kindness. Sometimes it seems silly to talk about this topic, but I sincerely believe that kindness can save all of our lives. How different the world we live in could be if we were able to live through this wonderful quality of the mind. I invite you to listen to the session and reflect on it.

The Village Old Man
In this last session, we're going to explore the topic of happiness. Through a short story, we reflect on it. What is happiness really? Does it exist, or perhaps not? Is it something we find along the way, as if by magic? Is it something stable, or are they just small moments? There are many questions we're going to try to address in this session. I encourage you to listen, reflect with me, and, if you'd like, share your vision with me.
