Mindfulness Of Dreams

O que você irá aprender
We all dream! Yet not everyone remembers their dreams. With some practice, we can remember how to remember. Because in a sense, this "skill" is something we don't need to learn but rather remember; children naturally dream, and it's only something we forget when the demands of life pull us away from this natural and beneficial dream experience. This course will teach you: - How to bring mindfulness into the dream experience. - What to do before bed to remember more dreams - Re-framing night-time awakenings to support dream practice - How best to use the critical first moments after awakening - Tools to support you in your journey to dream recall.
Eric is a Mindfulness of Sleep and Dream teacher and avid explorer of the dream space (Oneironaut). He's studied with revered Lucid Dreaming and Dream Yoga instructors and cultivated a deep personal practice. He is excited to bring this to Insight Timer and share more of the profound practices he has been so fortunate to encounter.

Lição 1
Why Dream?
Modern Sleep Science has discovered that our nightly dreams serve the distinct functions of boosting creativity & problem-solving and nurturing mental health & emotional regulation. We can get the greatest benefits by building an awareness of our dreaming mind and listening to its insights.
Lição 2
Mindfulness & Dreams
Mindfulness is “paying attention to what’s happening, while it’s happening, without judgement or preference. What’s happening during sleep (whether we notice it or not) is the experience of dreams. Mindfulness allows us to become aware of this experience of dreaming and accept it without judgement.
Lição 3
How To Fall Asleep
As we fall asleep, we pass through the first sleep stage - hypnagogic state - a highly suggestive and creative state of mind. We can use the suggestibility that is characteristic of this state of mind to plant an intention that becomes incredibly powerful because of the theta brain waves that are emitted.
Lição 4
How To Wake Up
It's important to take care of the first few moments of the day. We must not rush out of the bed and jump into the waking world. Take a mindful pause upon waking, and ask yourself what you were experiencing over the night time.
Lição 5
What's Next
Once you’ve got some dream recall, remembering some dream narratives a few times a week, you can begin to work with dream content. A few practices to consider are Liminal Dreaming, Lucid Dreaming, and Dream Incubation.
