Lição 1
Your Invitation To Stillness
Today we’ll reflect on Lent as an invitation to a stillness journey with God. We'll explore the Christian tradition of contemplation and consider how the simple and repeated act of letting go can create change at the deepest level of our being. We'll experience a contemplative practice for deep stillness and close with journaling and reflection.
Lição 2
Eyes Willing To See
Today we'll explore the ancient practice of Lectio Divina (divine reading), sitting and soaking in a passage from a sacred text. We’ll consider how this practice can open our eyes to the text in a new way, allowing the flow of the Spirit to speak to us and gently create change within us, as we sit softly in silent receiving. We'll experience a Lectio Divina practice with Mark 8: 14-21, followed by space for silent reflection.
Lição 3
Becoming Love
Today we'll explore mantra meditation as another pathway to stillness and a gateway to inner transformation. We'll experience a silent practice, allowing the phrase, ‘Love speak to me, and through me’ to flow through us. As we allow this beautiful mantra to sink into the mind, it gradually becomes a response of the heart as we slowly align ourselves with Divine Love. We'll close with journaling and reflection.
Lição 4
Pebble In The Pond
Today we’ll explore the powerful practice of centering prayer and how this deep surrender into stillness can transform the whole self. We'll acknowledge and offer ourselves compassion for all the ways that sitting in stillness can challenge us – even as we remember that God is holding us in and through it all. We’ll experience a centering prayer practice, followed by space for reflection.
Lição 5
Your Unique Journey
Today we'll consider our unique path forward and how we feel personally called to practice throughout the rest of Lent. There will be space for journaling and reflection on the journey so far and we'll explore which practices are calling to our hearts. We’ll say yes to following the call of our own spirit and the Spirit which flows through us all – understanding that Lent is just the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith.
