O que você irá aprender
This course is intended for anyone who would like to understand how their ego may be getting in the way of the true expression of who they are. themselves and others better and especially At first glance, the Enneagram might look like just another “personality system”: A set of descriptions about character traits. But the system is much deeper than that. It was designed to be used as a tool for not only insight - but understanding and action too. In this course I will introduce you to the dynamics of each enneagram personality type and I will cover how these dynamics may have initially been formed in childhood. This will really deepen your understanding of how these processes play out within yourself. This course is designed to not only introduce you to the enneagram system, but also to help you to recognise and address core fears, motivations and attachments. Learning about how each type has its own set of attitudes, reactions, blind spots and defences can aid you in seeing why you may be having challenges in your happiness and/or relationships. Insight is fundamental to personal growth and to cultivating patience toward others. By the end of this course, you will have more awareness of your own ego and “lens on the world”. It will also give you an understanding of the “lens” of others, their attitudes and reactions. This will develop the scope of your ability to understand, be compassionate and have patience in your interactions and relationships. The concepts presented in this course are drawn from the fileds of psychology and transpersonal psychology in combination with the teachings of Richard Rohr, Don Riso, Russ Hudson, Jeremy Wagner, Ginger Lapido-Bogda. Join me on this introductory workshop as we explore the fundamentals of the Enneagram system. You will benefit from a having a pen and notebook handy to take some notes as some of the concepts are complex. This course is the pre-requisite to the follow up Ego & The Ennegaram courses for couples, parents and growth strategies.

Lição 1
An Introduction To Ego And The Enneagram
Lesson 1 covers an overview of the Enneagram: its origins, philosophy, and basic premises. This will give you a sense of the system, whether or not you resonate with it, and if you feel that it is something that you can relate to or that will be useful for you in your life. You will also be introduced to a general view of the needs of the 9 personality types. This will give you a feel for which one(s) may apply most to you and will start you on your journey toward greater self-insight. If you are not already familiar with the Enneagram it will be very useful for you to search on google images for an "Enneagram diagram" to refer to whilst listening.
Lição 2
How Fear, Anger And Shame Shape The Ego
Lesson 2 is a discussion on how and why we develop a personality strategy or EGO and a little about how fear, anger and shame can shape how our ego is formed. We will explore the three centres of intelligence (thinking, feeling and doing) and you will have an opportunity to reflect on how these reactivities feature and impact in your own life.
Lição 3
The Development Of Ego Strategies From Childhood
In Lesson 3 we look at how each personality type presents in childhood. Firstly we will look at how this creates a lens through which the child perceives the world. After that we will look at how this is impacted by disappointments and challenges as the child grows up. We will explore how each personality type deals with and reacts to difficulty differently - and how this informs their ego strategy as they grow up.
Lição 4
Ego Formation, Reactivities And Focus Of Attention
Because the world is not a perfect place, We have all had the experience of disappointment in childhood. In lesson 4 we delve a little deeper into the impact of disappointment on our personality development when we were younger. We explore how each personality type reacts differently to disappointment and how fear, anger and/or shame may manifest from these reactions and play out in our lives.
Lição 5
Navigating The Adult Ego
In lesson 5, we discuss how each of the personality patterns play out in day to day adult life. We look at the overall spectrum of healthy and unhealthy manifestations of each personality pattern and the pathways of integration and disintegration for each type.

I enjoyed this review of the Enneagram. I’ve been aware of it for decades and have attended many conferences and workshops. It’s been so helpful in my growth. It was so helpful when I discovered that my husband was a Nine. Suddenly it explained his behaviour. He’d walk away from an argument and I’d be so frustrated. I’m a One with a Nine...
