Lição 1
Connection
Most people spend a lot of time feeling lonely and isolated. We search for connections to people, experiences, and things to connect to, but what we are really disconnected from is ourselves. We are connected with everyone and everything, but that connection is based on our connection with ourselves. This practice helps you to connect with yourself, then expand that connection to the people in our home, out into the Universe.
Lição 2
Gratitude
A lot of us spend time worrying about what we don’t have and things that we want, and spend very little time being grateful for the things that we do have. Comparison to what other people have never brings joy to your life. On the other hand, gratitude brings a sense of peace, which helps us to manifest the abundance that is our true nature. This practice helps us identify and feel gratitude for the things in our life.
Lição 3
Self-Love
We all spend time loving other people in our lives, but how often do we truly take the time to love ourselves? True love starts with loving ourselves and ripples out from there. At times it’s hard to love ourselves because of our inner critic and the acceptance and approval we seek from the outside world. This practice helps us get in touch with and love the many parts of ourselves that go into making the whole.
Lição 4
The Sense
Gratification of our senses and the lure of sense-born desires takes up a lot of mental space and can control many our actions. We are motivated to see, feel, taste, hear, and smell things that appeal to us despite what the outcome of those actions are. This practice helps us connect with and then withdraw our senses inward towards our true Universal Self, empowering us with the knowledge that we control them and they don’t control us.
Lição 5
Being Your Present Self
Life can be tough, especially when we are not living in the present moment. Remember we are human beings, not human doings. Time is just a construct. The concepts of past and future are just that: concepts. Remember our real infinite selves are beyond all of this material illusion. This meditation will help you get into the present moment by focusing on your breath.
Lição 6
Being A Witness To Your Thoughts
Our thoughts are powerful. They don’t define who you are. Not your capital S self. Your lower case S self identifies with these thoughts. In this practice we are going to pay attention to our thoughts, almost as if we were watching guard. The goal will be to notice the space between your thoughts and to eventually cultivate these gaps, so that you can be one with your capital S self.
Lição 7
Beyond Your Physical Self
We are more than just our physical bodies. We are infinite beings with multiple bodies, our physical being just one of them. In Vedantic tradition, they are described as "koshas" or sheaths. With this practice we are going to attempt to feel and see our energy body, so that we can experience that we are more than just our physical shell.
Lição 8
Bhakti
An aspect of Bhakti yoga is the idea of respect or looking past the physical and seeing that universal light within yourself and others. With this practice we are going to learn to cultivate that light within ourselves and to see it in others that you love, stress you out, and the universe itself. Once you learn how to do that, it makes it easier to show empathy in all situations, whether it be of a high vibration or a low one.
Lição 9
Mantra
Tapping into your true self is a tool that can help you have higher vibrational interactions with all. We
all make mistakes when dealing with difficult people, but if you can identify those people, and make
sure you tap into your higher self before that interaction, you can limit the negativity you bring to that trying relationship. In this practice we will be reciting a mantra that activates your Hyridya chakra, the dwelling place of the self.
Lição 10
Samskaras
Samskaras are habit patterns that tighten around yourself. If you can learn what habits serve you
and which habits hinder your growth, you can strengthen those habits that serve you, and let the ones that hinder your growth fall away. In this practice we are going to do a guided meditation where we are going to reflect on an interaction that we led with anger and analyze how it made the person you had the interaction with feel, how it made you feel, and where in your body you felt it. Then, we'll see ourselves in the same interaction, but removing the anger out of the interaction while still addressing the issue, and analyze the difference in the energy we experienced.
