In this lesson, we discuss the foundation of the mind which include the conscious and subconscious mind. Understanding the role of these two aspects of the mind and their relation to sleep. The lesson is somewhat an introduction to the practical understanding of how we are getting into these states of sleep to assist with the following lessons to be built upon.

Sleep Hygiene & Your Unique Rhythm (Of Awareness)
In this lesson, we start to create awareness around pre- and post-sleeping patterns. We discuss common disturbances of healthy sleep hygiene throughout the day and begin to pay attention to your unique pattern. We will also introduce the circadian rhythm here and also take actionable steps to prevent disturbances. Towards the end, we do a meditation centered around becoming the observer to start to focus on the root causes for change for better sleep.

'Fight or Flight' Vs. 'The Rest & Relaxation' Nervous Systems
In this lesson, we take a close look at how the two nervous systems and how the one called the "fight or flight" (sympathetic) nervous system could be getting in the way of sleep - which is simply related to stress. We do a simple breathing technique in order for you to learn how to balance these nervous systems and stimulate the "rest and relaxation" (parasympathetic) nervous system to help you relax and fall asleep.

The Conscious Mind & Thought Patterns
In this lesson, we will focus on the thinking or conscious mind and how it can get in the way of sleep. We discuss common thought patterns around sleep and how to change those thought patterns through different techniques.

The Subconscious Mind & Belief Patterns
In this lesson, we focus more on the subconscious mind and uncover any held belief patterns within that are negatively influencing sleep. We go over various suggestions or affirmations to create your own personal mantra or meditation to help guide you into sleep that would combat any limiting or negative beliefs about sleep that could be getting in the way.

Tips & Techniques For Relaxation & Sleep
In this lesson, we simply go over various easy techniques for you to add to any supplemental tools you may be using already. These techniques can be used any time of day however are placed here for you to build your toolbox of techniques to relax or wind down and quiet the mind on top of any meditations, music, or simply alone.
