Lição 1
Coming Back to the Present
Today’s lesson introduces one of the foundational elements in this course. Without present moment awareness, it’s difficult to identify the ways you interact with yourself and your life that diminish self-belief. You’ll be introduced to an activity that will help you understand how effectively you’re using your time and how you’re interacting with your day-to-day activities. I’ll also share four simple anchors that will help bring your attention back to the present moment.

Discovering a Mindset of Calm
In the previous session we spoke about the fact that judgement often gets in the way when we try to engage in the present moment mindfully. In today’s lesson, we look at a three-step approach designed to reduce stress and cultivate a mindset of calm. You’ll become more aware of your current stress levels and we’ll look at the factors that are contributing to your stress. You’ll also be introduced to an approach that will help you to feel more at peace with life, regardless of what’s going on around you.

The Negative Bias of the Brain
Researchers tell us that the brain has a strong negative bias which leaves us with a distorted view of the world and often a less than positive view of ourselves. In order to build self-belief, we need to ensure our thinking style is balanced. In today’s lesson I’ll introduce you to tips to help you connect with the positive aspects of life and I’ll share a methodology to help you manage difficult thinking.
Lição 4
Making Room for Your Feelings
In our previous lesson we looked at how to make room for difficult thoughts and how to balance negative thinking. Today we’ll explore how you can become more connected with your feelings and in turn, be more at ease with the complex range of emotions all of us encounter — sometimes even in a given day. The main focus for today will be teaching you how to cultivate mindful acceptance of all of your feelings which will help you to make peace with and heal from difficult feelings more quickly.

Choosing Self-Compassion
Now that you have awareness about how to cultivate a more mindful and balanced relationship with your thoughts and feelings, we’ll explore how you can begin to express kindness towards yourself. In today’s lesson, I’ll introduce the different elements of self-compassion and look at how self-compassion can help you become more resilient and more at peace with who you are.

Building Self-Belief
One of the most important steps in the process of building self-belief is getting to know yourself well. In today’s lesson we build on earlier lessons where we have focused on balancing the negative bias of the brain. Often this bias leads us to become overly identified with our weaknesses. We’ll explore the importance of recognizing and cultivating your natural strengths as well as making peace with your imperfections.

Moving Beyond Anxiety and Fear
In today’s lesson, you’ll learn about how to soothe the ‘fight or flight’ response to help reduce anxiety and fear. You’ll also be introduced to examples of how you can manage stressful situations in a more effective manner. Learning to effectively deal with anxiety will help you to make more mindful life choices as well as building your sense of self-worth.

Prioritising Your Wellbeing
Today we’ll explore the changes you would make to your lifestyle and your daily routine if you truly valued your wellbeing and acted from a place of self-compassion, not self-recrimination. Learn about how to be mindful in your decision-making about food, exercise and self-care in order to create a healthier and happier foundation for your life.

Taking Mindful Action
In our last lesson we began to explore how to take better care of your wellbeing. Today, we’ll look at how we can use our values as a guide to help us take more mindful action. Learn how to identify your values and create manageable steps that will move you toward a more peaceful and purposeful life. When you know your personal values, you’ll have your own personal compass to guide you through your life.

Living A Purposeful Life
Our final lesson includes a brief recap of all earlier lessons, which will give you the opportunity to reflect on how far you’ve come over the course of the past nine days. We’ll begin to explore how you can use your unique life experience and your personal strengths to start living with more purpose, regardless of what you’re currently doing with your life.
