Getting To Know Your Nervous System and How To Regulate Back To Safety
In this first session you will learn the basics understanding of the nervous system and the different states we move between in our daily life. This session will also instruct you in simple ways of how to regulate yourself back to safety in times of stress, anxiety and anger (activation) or when you feel depressed and in chock (immobilization). A foundation that gets you going in your own exploration of what works for you.
And go gentle on yourself. It is expected that resistance show up when we try new things and challenge the old ways of being. For you to get the most out of this course, be as open and curious as possible for the experiences during this course and know that I am not saying what is right or wrong for you, I invite you to go and see for yourself and take with you what serves your highest good.
Lição 2
How Early Experience May Shape Our Nervous System
Our nervous system develops early in our life. If we interpret a situation as dangerous as a child our nervous system remembers. But the nervous system can not see that what we might have experienced as a life threatening situation as a child might not at all be dangerous for you in your life right now. But due to early trauma your nervous system might interpret a situation of touch, closeness, emotional expression etc as dangerous and you find yourself having a hard time relating closely to others as an adult. But the great news is that we can rewire out nervous system back to understanding that the situation in this now-moment is safe with these tools. I hope this knowledge brings compassion for yourself and others in affected states. Love is always the answer when we feel safe, but it is easy to fall down into drama and that is why this work has been so important for me to see the difference and learn a way back to clarity.

Meditation To Support Yourself Back To Safety
This is a meditation that slowly guides you through some regulation methods. This audio can support you when you are triggered or just want to practice the skill of regulation. Use this meditation every day for a week to give yourself as many experiences of regulation as lovingly possible. This will create new neurological pathways in your brain and therefor support your to easier find your way to safety when you are doing this by your self later.

Now things get really interesting. You will create a map of your experience in the different states. This lesson is also a deepening of the potential of embodying this work.

As I listened I realized his content resonated with concepts I’ve entertained. The lessons were not overly long, and that kept the points more concise I think. I’ve worked in dangerous environments with violent mentally ill criminals, so I developed my own set of coping mechanisms. Always, though I love words, what the living experience is, before we open our mouths and corrupt it all..has been the most importabt thing…words are code and if we choose to use code we live in that code/decode world intense moments, but regulating our own emotions is, perhaps, its own language…because it has an effect on Others....

Thank you so much for this course. I’ve been checking and challenging the narrative that I had bipolar 2. It just didn’t fit the flavor of my experience; nor any shared characteristics. I’ve just learned of, and begun exploring CPTSD, which fits like a glove. Your course has been a particle of light cast into a deep, chasmic well in which dwell anxiety, fear, hopelessness, hyper-vigilance, insomnia due to somatic hyperarousal, dissociation, and etc.
Your description of the nervous system, within this context was clear, concise and invaluable. I realized my primary survival mode in my pre-teens became fight/flight. Over the years, as I progressed professionally, and I developed a chronic autoimmune illness with a chronic pain component, the masking of my dysregulation through, fight/flight, fawning, or immobilization had become fatiguing. So, my body, I now see, settled for immobilization, and that’s when ideation of the worse kind came into play. I never acted. I just entertained the idea an inordinate amount of time. Although I’ve put that portion behind me long before this course, (I realized it’d be an affront to all that my ancestors endured for me to be here writing this message), it didn’t stop me from dreading my life, and wishing it away. But since learning about how a dysregulated nervous system works, I can now explain why I meltdown when I can’t find my keys. I can understand why in that moment the distorted thought that “life” hates me becomes my predominant thought. But now I can reflect upon it within this dysregulated context, and I leave this course with a greater understanding and clarity about myself, with which I never left a cognitive therapy session.
I intuitively knew talk therapy was an overall waste for me, and that I required something behavioral, but I had no idea why, or what. Now, I can see every facet of my life as if from a mountaintop, and have already begun taking the steps towards retraining my nervous system, thought distortions and etc. I got out of my way, and the Universe has conspired to help me direct my healing in a true and effective way. May your blessings abound. 🔆🪷🙏🏾🫶🏾...
