Enhance the time you have with those you love and strengthen your relationship by consciously choosing how you show up. This is a practice to do before you get home to your family or before spending time with loved ones (whether that's your partner, kids, parents, or family), to let go of distractions, expectations, and irritability, and to be present with them as your most loving, fun, open-hearted, compassionate self. You are the conscious creator of your quality time - enjoy elevating it.

It's time to consciously choose how you're going to show up today to the time you have with your loved one.

Letting go of distractions and irritations and instead opening your heart and getting ready to show up in your most authentic,

Loving way will help to strengthen your connection and create truly quality time.

Start by finding a comfortable position.

You're welcome to be sitting or lying down or be standing.

Close your eyes.

Take a moment to settle.

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

Filling up deeply,

Holding for a second,

Then breathing out slowly and fully.

In your own time,

Take three more deep,

Purposeful breaths,

Really focusing on the exhale to calm and centre yourself.

It's time to let go of any distractions that you don't want to bring into this time together.

In your mind's eye,

Packing up for the day,

Putting away any unfinished business,

Dropping the baggage down.

If you feel too,

You can sigh it all out,

Releasing the tension out on the breath to float away on the air or you can shake it out,

Releasing the energy out of your body,

Shaking your hands,

Loosening up,

Then letting yourself settle.

As you breathe in,

Straighten up a little taller,

Feeling lighter.

As you breathe out,

The last bits of tension melt away,

Letting your shoulders drop,

Letting your face soften,

Letting your hands rest,

Letting go.

Remembering now the beautiful essence of this person you're about to see.

In your mind's eye,

Picture them in whatever way comes naturally to you,

Whatever way makes you smile.

It might be their laugh,

The way they walk.

Feel to mind all that you love about them,

Their kindness,

Their silliness,

The things that make you laugh,

The way they reach out for a hug when they greet you,

The feel of their hug,

The things that make them so special,

So unique,

The gifts they bring to the world,

The things that make them special.

All right.

As you reconnect with the essence of your loved one,

Feel the warmth and lightness that brings to your heart.

Your chest feeling more open,

Expansive.

Filled with glowing light that radiates out from your heart space,

Surrounding you in a gentle glow.

Lighting you up,

You're ready to share your warmth with others.

In this moment,

Notice how you accept this person exactly how they are,

Without needing to change anything,

Without needing anything in return.

Allow these sensations to sink in.

This sensation of unconditional love,

Acceptance,

Connection.

These are the sensations you're bringing with you now.

Remember that you can come back to these sensations anytime that you need to.

Set your intention now for how you'll show up today.

You might like to choose your own intention to set or you can use these.

Set your intention to bring harmony to your time together for the highest possible outcome without having any expectations on the other person.

Set your intention to take each moment as it comes,

Without needing it to be perfect.

Set your intention to be present,

Knowing that any distractions can wait till later.

Seal in this intention by picturing in your mind's eye what this looks like for you,

The way you choose to show up.

See how this time looks together when you greet this special person in your most loving way.

How this time looks when you're fully present,

Undistracted.

How it looks when you let go of the little things that might normally annoy you and choose to smile instead of reacting.

Feel into that ability that you have to make choices in each moment that help raise the vibe and the quality of this time together.

You are ready.

Before you go forward now,

Take a moment to give yourself gratitude for how you've chosen to show up.

Gratitude to your loved one for being exactly who they are.

Gratitude to anyone else who's making this time possible for you,

Whoever that may be.

Letting the waves of gratitude wash over you.

As you get ready to open your eyes,

Start to bring awareness to your body,

Taking one last moment to feel into the sensations of love,

Connection,

Acceptance.

Start to wriggle the fingers and toes,

Wriggle the shoulders.

As you breathe in,

Straightening up a little taller,

Noticing how much lighter you feel.

Open-hearted,

You're holding a glow and ready to show up in your most loving way.

May your time together be open-hearted and undistracted,

Quality time.
