Welcome to this yoga nidra practice.

This session will guide you into a deep state of relaxation and help you connect with your solar plexus chakra or in Sanskrit known as Manipura.

Manipura translates loosely from the Sanskrit as City of Jewels,

A place of radiant inner power,

Self-belief and determination.

This chakra resides in your upper abdomen,

Just above your navel and is considered to be the seat of your personal power,

Self-worth and confidence.

In my interpretation the solar plexus chakra is deeply linked to the part of you that faces challenges,

Asserts boundaries and steps forward with courage and purpose.

It is the energy that fuels your self-belief,

Your ability to create change and your power to shape your life.

Unlike the primordial energy of the first two chakras,

This is now where the energy becomes I,

A healthy functioning ego able to interact with the world.

I feel the solar plexus is closely connected to the hero or the heroine archetype,

The courageous part of you that rises to face life's obstacles,

Trusting in your strength and inner guidance.

Awakening the yellow light associated with this chakra can dissolve feelings of insecurity,

Self-doubt or hesitation,

Empowering you to move forward with clarity and confidence.

I also link the solar plexus chakra to the tarot card,

The chariot card,

A symbol of willpower,

Determination and focus.

Like the chariot here depicted,

You are steering your own path,

Moving forward with steady control and purpose.

As we connect with the radiant yellow energy of this chakra,

We invite the courage to take action,

The strength to assert ourselves and the clarity to embrace our personal power with balance and grace.

So I invite you now to find a comfortable position,

Ideally lying on your back in Shavasana with your arms slightly away from your body and your palms facing upward to release tension in the shoulders.

Allow your legs to fall naturally apart with the toes falling outwards if they want to.

Of course if you prefer to sit up or take another posture like a fetal position or lying on the belly,

Please feel free to do so.

Ensure that you feel warm,

Supported and that you're feeling at ease and that you won't be disturbed for the next 20 to 30 minutes.

I invite you now to close your eyes and settle in.

This is your time to rest and restore.

Let's bring our attention to our breath.

We're going to take three deep breaths in.

Exhale,

Releasing any tension.

Taking another deep breath in and releasing what tension we're able to release.

One more deep breath in,

Filling the whole chest with air.

Exhale what residual tension we're able to let go of in this moment.

And bringing your attention still to the breath.

Feel that natural flowing of air moving in and out of your nostrils.

There's no need to control the breath,

Simply notice it.

Feel the support of the ground beneath you.

Imagine the earth rising to hold you,

Steady and strong.

With each exhale allow your body to soften,

Grow heavier,

Allow gravity to do the work for you.

Surrender into this sense of safety and holding and stability,

Letting go,

Resting comfortably on the ground or in the chair.

Now we'll begin a journey of our awareness throughout our body.

As I name each part simply bring your awareness there,

There's nothing else to do.

Notice any sensations,

Feel the sensations but without judging them as good or bad feelings.

Just notice the feelings that come.

We'll begin on the right side.

Bring your attention to the right hand,

Thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger little finger.

Notice the palm of your hand,

The back of your hand,

Your wrist,

Forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm,

Shoulder,

Armpit,

Right side of the chest,

Waist,

Hip,

Thigh,

Shin,

Sole of the foot,

Top of the foot,

Right big toe,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe,

Fifth toe.

Feel the whole right side of the body together,

Feeling the whole right side of the body together.

Moving to the left side,

Bringing your attention to the left hand,

The thumb,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Little finger.

Notice the palm of your hand,

The back of the hand,

Your wrist,

Forearm,

Shoulder,

Left side of your chest,

Waist,

Thigh,

Sole of the foot,

Top of the foot,

Left big toe,

Second toe,

Fourth toe,

Fifth toe,

Feeling the whole left side of the body together,

Feeling the whole left side of the body.

Moving to the back of the body,

Notice the sensations in the back of your head,

Right shoulder blade,

Left shoulder blade,

Lower back,

The whole length of your spine,

Right buttock,

Left buttock,

Feeling the whole back of the body together,

Feeling the whole back of the body.

Moving to the front of the body,

Bring awareness to the top of your head,

Right temple,

Space between the eyebrows,

Right nose,

Tip of the nose,

Up,

Both lips together,

Chin,

Jaw,

Throat,

Right collarbone,

Left collarbone,

Pelvis,

Feeling the whole front of the body together,

Feel the whole front of the body,

The whole front of the body,

Feeling the whole right arm,

Feel the whole right arm together,

Feeling the whole left arm,

Feeling the whole left arm together,

Feel the whole right leg,

Feel the whole right leg together,

Feel feel the whole lower half of the body,

Feeling the whole lower half of the body together,

Feel the whole upper half of the body,

Feeling the whole upper half of the body together,

Now feel the whole body,

Feeling the whole body together,

Feel your whole body resting in stillness,

Notice your body as one unified field of awareness,

Feel its shape,

Its weight,

Warmth,

Rhythm of your breath as you rest comfortably on the floor.

Now bring your attention to the area just above your navel,

The seat and center of your solar plexus chakra,

Visualize a golden Sun glowing brightly in this space,

Spinning gently like a radiant wheel,

With each inhale imagine drawing warm yellow light into this space,

See this glowing sphere expand,

Filling your upper abdomen,

Spreading outwards like the Sun rising in the morning,

Feel its warmth begin to flow through your torso,

Across your stomach,

Your ribs and into your back,

The light pulses gently soothing yet powerful,

This warm energy is the core of your confidence,

Your ability to stand strong in who you are,

Visualize this golden yellow light as deeply connected to your personal power,

It fuels your inner strength,

Your self-belief and your ability to set boundaries and make decisions,

It's your inner fire,

The strength that allows you to rise when life feels challenging,

Imagine this light growing brighter,

Filling your entire torso with courage and resilience,

Feel it spreading upward through your chest and heart,

Downward into your belly and hips,

See it moving through your arms,

Your fingertips,

Your legs and your toes until your entire body is glowing with this yellow golden and powerful light,

As this energy expands feel your self-belief rising with it,

Imagine all the past doubts dissolving in the warmth of the radiant Sun,

The golden light shines brighter with each inhale,

With every exhale you release the insecurity,

The hesitation or the fear,

Feel a greater sense of worth and acceptance of who you are right now in this moment,

Allow this warm golden yellow light to expand even further,

Radiating beyond your body into your aura,

A field of energy that surrounds you,

Golden glow now surrounds you like a shield of strength and empowerment,

This is your personal power,

Calm,

Steady,

Grounded,

Rest in this for a moment,

Feeling the golden yellow light surrounding you,

Filling you,

Emanating from you and now silently or out loud repeat these affirmations to yourself,

I am strong,

Confident and in control of my life,

Confident and in control of my life,

I trust my ability to achieve my goals,

I trust my ability to achieve my goals,

I embrace my personal power with balance and grace,

I embrace my personal power with balance and grace,

Feel this golden energy empowering you,

Steady,

Calm and unshakeable,

Know that this inner strength is always within you,

Available whenever you need it,

Now imagine the golden light gently drawing back to your solar plexus,

Returning to a small steady flame glowing just above your navel,

This light is part of you,

A source of strength you can always call upon,

Now bring your awareness back to your breath,

Noticing its gentle rhythm,

Feel the weight of your body resting against the ground,

Feel the texture of the surface beneath you,

The temperature of the air around you,

As your senses come back online,

Begin to move your fingers and toes,

Bringing small movements back to your body to come back to a more waking state of consciousness,

When you're ready take a deep breath,

Open your eyes and return back to this present moment,

Steady,

Confident,

Grounded in your inner strength,

This practice is now complete but take a moment to thank yourself for dedicating this time to your own personal well-being,

Know that this inner strength is always present within you,

Calm,

Steady,

Resilient,
