Where Ultimate Freedom Comes From

When we are no longer afraid of our feelings, we are free. When we know that we can always be with ourselves in difficult times and that a shift is always on its way, we are free. Freedom comes from knowing your power and accepting, and even being grateful for, the feelings that pass through.

Hello,

Hello,

It's Becca L here with a message that I feel is incredibly powerful.

What we're going to point to today is where our ultimate freedom lies.

So before we get started,

I just want to invite you to do whatever you need to do to make yourself a little more comfortable,

Maybe shift in your seat,

Take a deep breath,

Put on some warm socks,

Whatever you need.

And let's get started.

Okay.

So here's the thing.

We all like to feel good,

Right?

Something in us craves feeling good.

And I think that's because it's our home base.

It is our birthright.

We actually can always shift our way back there really all the time.

But when we hear that,

Especially when we kind of get caught up in these conversations around like manifesting or I don't know,

When we start to think that like our,

Our bad feelings seem to feed into other bad feelings,

Which is kind of how it looks,

Right?

And people that teach the law of attraction would say that that,

That is what's happening.

It does seem to kind of snowball in a sense,

Right?

So I think what happens is we get these bad feelings,

Quote unquote bad feelings,

And we get annoyed.

We want them to go away.

Like maybe it's like stress or anxiety,

Maybe it's grief or sadness,

Maybe it's hopelessness or despair,

A sense of powerlessness or like,

I don't know,

Like we've ruined our lives in some way,

Can't do anything right.

When those come through,

What do we do?

So common teachings,

Like I said,

Shift us out of the feeling.

They try to shift us out.

And that's perfect and understandable.

And when that's available,

We want to go for that,

Right?

Because why not?

Like why hang out in a place that you don't want to hang out in?

So I am not here to deny any of that.

And actually I use a lot of those practices and I ship myself out a lot these days.

But sometimes that doesn't feel available to us.

And I've been in a place,

If you listen to my last track,

I've been in a place in my life where it doesn't feel available,

Right?

And sometimes that thought of I need to change my thinking lends to us like thinking of a thought that is like the polar opposite of what we're thinking in that moment.

And that thought feels so fake that it doesn't like seem to stick.

In fact,

It almost like repels us a little bit because we're like,

Oh,

That is just so not real.

And so since that didn't work,

We think like,

Oh man,

Like I'm a failure at shifting my thoughts.

And we freak out even more because we don't want to bring in all the bad stuff,

Right?

So it just adds to this mental tug of war.

It just adds to this feeling of like,

Man,

I'm bad.

I don't know how to do this.

I'm making this happen to me and I can't control my thinking and all of that.

And that is when I think it's really,

Really amazing to see that acceptance,

Not thinking it's going to be here forever or that I want it to be here forever,

But simply accepting how we feel.

Simply meeting how we feel in a moment is actually the ultimate freedom.

Knowing that every feeling is safe.

No feeling that you have can touch you really,

Not innately,

Not at your deepest level.

It can't touch who you are in any way.

When we know that,

We don't need to be afraid of a bad feeling.

When we know that,

We know that it's innate within us to want to shift out of that,

That it's already happening.

When we have come to a place where we accept what's coming to us,

Where we're meeting it head on,

We actually are already,

Like we're on our way to a better feeling place.

Because what acceptance is,

Is love.

When we can love ourselves through any emotion,

There's nothing to fear.

And things have to shift.

They have to shift because,

Again,

That acceptance,

That love is already at a higher vibration than what we were feeling before,

Right?

So for example,

Like if you're feeling like crap,

What is a better feeling thought?

Like which thought feels better?

Number one,

Oh no,

I got to get rid of this bad feeling,

Get rid of this bad feeling,

Get rid of this bad feeling.

Or number two,

Huh,

Okay,

A bad feeling is here.

I don't like it,

But it's here,

And I know it's on its way out,

So maybe I'll just relax and take really good care of myself through this.

Obviously the second one feels better,

Right?

It feels way better.

Even just saying that,

I was like,

Oh yeah,

We're fine.

That's what's available to us.

We in every moment can be with ourselves through a feeling.

We can trust that it's not going to be there forever.

We get to trust that.

Not even forever.

I mean forever is just like,

Ugh,

That's like,

I don't like to use that word.

I know that it's nice to know that a feeling can be there forever and we're fine,

But we don't have to even go there.

It can shift quickly because it is not us.

Nothing real,

Oh no,

That's not,

Nothing fake can truly last.

We are wanting all the time to shine light on things.

It's instantaneous when you shine light on the darkness,

Right?

It has the potential to pass through.

Just knowing that and simultaneously knowing that you are not wrong in any way for feeling this and that a better feeling is always available to you.

If you hang out in this feeling for a little while,

It's okay.

There's nothing wrong with having a feeling pass through you.

The way that we think about that experience,

The way that we think about having that feeling is actually the thing that is going to completely shift our lives and that's what gives us the ultimate freedom is seeing that any feeling can come through you and you always have the opportunity to meet it with love.

You always have the opportunity to see that you are not wrong for having that feeling,

That you did not do anything wrong for you to have that feeling.

It's simply an energy that is moving through and when you can see that your body knows exactly how to handle that,

That you don't need to use your head,

You don't need to logic your way out of it,

You can simply greet it.

You can simply be there with it.

That is the ultimate freedom,

Right?

Because we can be there,

Like we can do that.

You can always be with,

You can't not be with what's going on,

Right?

So we always get to choose to see that experience in a different way.

So when it feels good,

We can reach for a better feeling thought,

Reach for a better feeling vibe.

We can kind of seek our way out of it when that feels good.

When it doesn't feel good though,

Like when you feel a kind of powerlessness and you feel like you actually can't choose another thought,

What I would love for you to see is that you're okay even in that moment.

And knowing that you're okay,

That there's something else that is moving and shifting.

I mean,

This entire universe is changed.

This entire universe is shifting all the time,

And that shift is happening within you.

It's your reason looking in this direction,

That shift is happening within you.

You are on your way out of a bad feeling always,

It is always on its way out.

That allows you to see it as safe,

That allows you to feel good as your feeling hits.

I mean,

Not good,

But there's a different vibe,

Like I said earlier,

With like pushing away a bad feeling versus just feeling it.

Our feelings often,

This is how it's felt to me recently,

Our feelings act as portals in the sense that it's almost like we are elevating,

You know,

Our ways of looking at things are elevating to a higher vibration.

And those feelings are stuck energy that are just wanting to find their way out.

They're just clearing the way for you to exist on a plane that you haven't existed on yet.

So those energies,

You know,

They can't hang out there,

You know,

When you have made that shift into,

You know,

On that journey of seeing things differently.

That is healing,

That is how we heal,

And our bodies are simply catching up.

So if we think of bad feelings that way,

Not as,

Oh,

I brought about this terrible thing to me,

Or what did I do to cause this,

Or it must be that thing I ate,

Or whatever it is,

Right,

Instead of going to that place,

What if we view it as like,

Hey,

I'm on my way to a higher vibe,

Like I'm on my way to seeing things differently.

I am growing,

I am expanding,

Things are happening in my favor,

And thank God I'm feeling a bunch of stuff,

Because that means that there are energies that are just kind of like,

Leaving my body temple,

If you will,

Right?

So when we know that,

We know that there is a wisdom that is just,

It's just so much smarter than our brain,

Like it's wisdom,

It's not smart,

It's wisdom,

It's a deep intelligence of this universe that is coming in to move things for you.

And when we know that,

We don't have to be like,

Oh,

Is it my heart chakra,

Is it like my head,

Is it my,

Like,

What's going on,

Is it,

Like I said,

Like that thing I ate,

Is it because I did this thing,

Like,

We don't have to go there,

I mean,

If it feels good to go there,

Fine,

Go there.

Any thought that feels good,

Grab it,

Who cares,

Go for it,

Right,

Like,

Great.

But it's,

I think,

Like,

Really,

Really freeing to understand that we don't have to make sense of these things,

We don't have to understand what these feelings are,

They get to just move through,

And they're actually doing it in the perfect way,

Because your body knows what to do,

Your body knows exactly how to handle any feeling that comes through you.

So all that we do is be,

We just get to hang out,

We just get to support ourselves,

Be loving towards ourselves,

Encourage ourselves as we're feeling these things.

And you can do,

You know,

Something that I like to do,

Sometimes I'll play,

Like,

Music that feels like it'll help,

You know,

You can,

You know,

Drink anything,

Eat anything,

Take medicine,

Like,

You can do anything that occurs to you to kind of encourage this shifting.

But just notice,

When you're thinking about,

Like,

Oh,

What do I do about this?

If you find yourself kind of going to the place of,

Like,

Okay,

This is,

Like,

If it feels like too solvy,

Like,

It feels like you're,

Like,

Trying to,

To think your way out of it,

Maybe just see that,

Like,

That's not,

That's not needed,

And recognize the pain in that,

You know,

Recognize the suffering that is,

Like,

Let's figure it out,

Figure it out,

Figure it out,

As opposed to just,

Okay,

I'm here,

I get to feel this,

Something is moving out,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you for the healing,

Thank you for handling this in the most perfect way possible,

Thank you for handling this so well that I don't have to know what's going on,

I don't have to solve this,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you for this healing,

Because that's what's happening all the time.

So that's why I say that this is the ultimate freedom,

Because we don't have to be afraid.

It never is of service to us to be afraid of the way that we're feeling.

There's never any need for that.

If that's how you feel,

That's how you feel,

And it's fine,

You don't need to be afraid of being afraid either,

But there's never any need for it,

We don't need to be afraid of how we're feeling.

So if you knew that every single feeling was coming in and happening for you,

If you knew that all of this was happening in your favor,

Then what?

How would it feel?

If we knew these are just visitors,

You know,

Like that these energies that we've been holding just are on their way out,

And sometimes it feels like crap when they're on their way out.

Sometimes we feel nauseous,

Sometimes we feel pain,

But it's all just movement.

It's all movement that's happening undeniably in your favor.

That is the ultimate freedom.

You don't have to be afraid of anything anymore.

I mean,

What's more freeing than that?

What's more freeing than getting to trust and know that everything is happening in your favor?

Like I said in the last track,

Your life and your circumstances,

Nothing means anything inherently.

It is only ever the meaning that we place on something.

So no feeling is permanent.

No feeling means anything about you.

Everything is safe.

I mean,

What is better than that?

There's nothing more freeing than that.

Okay,
