Hi there,
I'm Bailey and I'm glad you're here.
This meditation is going to be short and sweet.
I find that it's helpful to take at least five minutes in the middle of a busy day to meditate to just allow my mind a few minutes of peace and calm so that I can readjust and step back into my day with more presence.
Find a comfortable and balanced position in your seat,
Resting your hands wherever is most comfortable,
Maybe in your lap or on your knees.
I invite you to gently let your eyes flutter closed.
And I want you to take a few deep breaths in and out of your nose,
Sending that inhale into the belly,
Allowing an audible exhale if needed,
Releasing any lingering tension,
Anxiety or stress.
Just let that go right now.
Nothing else to focus on but this moment.
One more deep breath in and out again.
And then just let your breath rise and fall naturally.
Your body already knows what to do,
So just relax and trust it.
And while you continue to trust your breath,
I want you to imagine that with each inhale,
Your body is getting lighter and lighter.
That your breath is physically lifting you and cleansing any heavy energy all at once.
You can feel that each inhale is bringing you acceptance and peace,
And each exhale is sloughing off that which no longer serves you today.
I'll give you a few moments of silence to allow the breath to cleanse you.
I'd like to share a quote I really like about being present.
Eckhart Tolle once said,
In today's rush,
We all think too much,
Seek too much,
Want too much,
And forget about the joy of just being.
Take a few moments to appreciate the simplicity of being right here,
Right now,
Knowing that this is a gift we give ourselves and a safe place we can always come back to.
And when you're ready,
Slowly start to bring yourself back into the space,
Feeling the seed beneath you,
Waking up your body.
I usually wiggle my fingers and toes,
Maybe roll my head back and forth,
Just welcoming yourself back to the space,
And let your eyes drift open.
Thank you so much for trusting me today,
And I'm wishing you the very best for the rest of your day.
Take care.
