Good,
So settling yourself into meditation.
Allow the body to soften,
Releasing the body as much as you can.
Taking your awareness to your breathing.
Taking a slow breath in,
Two,
Three,
Holding it.
And breathing out two,
Three.
Again,
In two,
Three,
Hold it,
Out two,
Three.
One more time,
In two,
Three,
Holding it and breathing out two,
Three.
Moves.
So allowing yourself to rest in the present.
Just as it is,
Right here,
Right now.
Unless there's something we need to do about our thoughts right now.
We can simply let them come and go for a while.
We don't have to keep rolling them around.
We can just allow ourself to rest.
A space where we let go of our attachment to our thoughts.
A busy mind can often become restless when it's tired.
So for a little while we give ourselves permission to stop trying to solve everything.
We don't have to change the mind.
And we don't have to fix it.
Instead,
We sit back beyond the boundaries of the mind within.
One thing we may notice is that a mind often worries because it wants certainty.
It goes over the same things again and again,
Trying to make the future feel safe.
But right now we can let go of the need to know.
We can surrender the need to control everything.
And in that surrender we can rest.
There's a space within.
That's not pulled up by the things we like.
Or dragged down by the things that we don't like.
A deeper okayness with however things are.
That space is always with him.
We keep gently guiding ourselves back to that inner stillness.
So we release the body.
And allow it to sink deeper and deeper into rest.
And just in the same way,
Noticing the mind,
Allowing it to be as it is.
The content of the thoughts not so important now.
You can just simply sit back in that stillness.
And if the mind pulls us into thoughts again,
We gently guide ourselves back.
Back to the rise and fall of the chest as we breathe.
Back to simply being.
Resting.
Allowing everything to be as it is.
I'm resting here for a while.
