Welcome to the self-care meditation.
The intention of this meditation is to bring you a peaceful awareness of your self-care needs so that you can care for yourself in a way that will create the healthiest and happiest version of you.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.
Gently closing your eyes.
Taking a few deep breaths now.
Watching the air as it moves in and out of the lungs.
Seeing any areas of tension in the body.
Watching these areas soften with each breath.
With each exhale,
You are sending a wave of relaxation throughout the body.
Let go of any thoughts in your mind.
Imagine them just floating away.
It's okay to let them go for now.
Right now,
In this moment,
There is nothing to do.
Nothing to think about.
Just let yourself be.
Let everything go.
Keep breathing in and out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
As your body melts into this state of relaxation,
Ask yourself,
What do I need right now to feel like my best self?
What do I need right now to feel like my best self?
What is my body saying yes to?
What is my body saying yes to?
What is my body saying no to?
What is my body saying no to?
What makes me feel alive?
What makes me feel alive?
What is one thing that I can commit to doing for myself today that I really need?
What is one thing that I can commit to doing for myself today that I really need?
What do I need to let go of doing to feel like my best self?
What do I need to let go of doing to feel like my best self?
As this practice comes to a close,
Have gratitude for this awareness that you now have.
May you implement these self-care needs into your day and into your life.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
Bring your awareness back to the room.
Only open your eyes when you are ready.
