
Reiki Relaxation Circle Session 14
About three-quarters of the way through 2020, I felt that there was an immense need for healing, of humanity, and of the planet, and began doing a weekly online Reiki Relaxation Circle. This need continues and I would love to have more people able to access these healing meditation sessions so I am sharing them here on Insight Timer. In this session, we focus on using the energy of a Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse in Taurus to help us to let go of worry.

Hello everyone welcome to the last live Reiki Relaxation Circle for 2020.
I'm Arwen from Evenstar Wellbeing,
Lovely to have you joining me either live or at a later time,
Either way you will get some lovely benefits.
So before I go any further I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we are all practicing from this evening.
For myself I would like to pay my respects to the Elders past,
Present and emerging of the Wurundjeri peoples and acknowledge that this land that I am practicing from is stolen land and was never ceded.
So for this evening we're going to follow our usual program of events so doing two different meditations,
One to enable you to receive healing for yourself and the second one where you will continue to receive healing for yourself but we will also channel the energy further through you out into the wider world and we are sending energy to every living creature,
People,
Plants,
Animals and also back to the planet herself.
So I have a little bit of a focus today again on full moon energy because we just had a full moon on Monday,
I'm recording this on Wednesday the 2nd of December and the full moon that we had on Monday was actually a partial lunar eclipse according to sidereal astrology the moon and it's not really just according to sidereal astrology,
Sidereal astrology basically refers to the stars and where things are as we can see them if we can see them.
We couldn't even see the full moon when I was looking on Monday night because of the clouds but you could kind of see that amazing light coming through a few little chinks in the clouds but in sidereal astrology so if we could have looked and seen the stars and seen where the moon was actually sitting in the sky it was in the sign of Taurus and Taurus is a really earthy practical sign and the full moon always provides the energy for letting go so allowing us to let go of things that are no longer serving us so it kind of works on a cycle from the new moon where we make plans we set intentions and then following through at the full moon what have we created,
What has happened with those intentions,
What do we need to let go before the next new moon so that we have the space to create new intentions at the next new moon.
So with the earthy energy of Taurus we're really looking at practical things and think about what steps we need to take to let go of things that no longer service at the moment and that can be anything it can be you know a habit that you have it can be a thought pattern it can be people in your life it can be a job it can be a practice that you do a particular type of exercise that you know you you keep on running but your knees are really painful all the time maybe it's time to let that go.
So that is the energy that we have at the moment I hope you've been feeling that and feeling supported by that energy because it was a lunar eclipse it's kind of magnified and eclipses are always known for heralding change as well so you know which kind of means that it's an even bigger opportunity to let go and put change in place ready for or make the space for change ready for the next new moon which is always in around two weeks after the full moon.
So I hope that makes sense so I wanted to focus on that letting go energy with our mantra that we'll use in our first meditation as you know we have many times but today we'll focus on the mantra of for today only I will let go of worry.
I think it's a great point in 2020 to really be letting go of worry and I don't know if it's just you know where the planets are for me for my personal horoscope at the moment but I've absolutely felt like that like I just I just don't want to worry about the little stuff anymore and and it's not even I just don't want to it's that I'm not I'm just really you know relaxing more into what I intuitively know I need to need to do and need not to do.
So that's really pleasant I have to say and I really hope that some other people are experiencing that as well.
So that will be our mantra so we are using as this mantra for today only I will let go of worry is one of the five principles of Reiki.
Now obviously I'm stating this is in all of these videos so apologies if you've heard me say it umpteen times before but for anyone who is tuning in today for the very first time Reiki is yes an energy healing practice but it also is a way of life and therefore it has these five guiding principles that can actually be a way to set your life up and the other ones other than for today only I will let go of worry are for today only I will let go of anger for today only I will live with gratitude for today only I will work hard on myself and for today only I will be kind to others and the wording you might find slightly different wording if you you know googled them or something but that they're the way I was taught them by my Reiki master and I really love that I love being definite about what I will do and I love the for today only which is you'll find everywhere so that practice of you're just telling yourself each day that for today only I will do this thing and it makes it so much less difficult than if you were saying for the next 10 years I will let go of worry because you know of course there are always going to be worries that come up in life we're human so Reiki as an energy healing practice is comes from the Japanese tradition but you will find all traditional cultures throughout the world will have an energy healing practice and they will call it many different names depending on what language they are speaking Reiki is the Japanese word and it means universal energy and that is what we are tapping into today so I as a Reiki master and any Reiki practitioner is trained and attuned to tap into that energy which means that I know where the radio station of that energy is and I can always turn on my radio and be attached and channeling that station so that station of energy it's something that anyone can learn to do doesn't mean that I'm super special that I can do this but I've done the training and being attuned to it so I'm then able to direct that energy wherever I intend to direct it and that energy energy does not know anything about time or place we are all connected by this energy every living being is connected by this energy and even inanimate objects many people would believe are connected with this energy so therefore at whatever point that you are watching and listening to this video you will receive the benefits of the energy that I am sending at this particular point in time and place for me so basically we're working with relaxation whenever you have Reiki it's always ideal that you are as relaxed as possible and hopefully your practitioner will help you to do that using tools the ones that I use are things like aromatherapy having beautiful peaceful music playing having a quiet space making sure that your your temperature is comfortable and also taking you through a kind of bringing you down taking you through a meditation relaxation guidance of some kind to help you settle down to activate your parasympathetic nervous system and that's what we're going to do here as well so we do two different meditations so the first one which I said is with the mantra and the second one is today going to be a body scan I very much work all the time with what most people know of as chakras so the seven energy centers and I like to think of them as seven types of essential energy that's how I work with them in my practice and they are all connected with different aspects of personality different types of emotions that we all feel different parts of the body so I will guide you through a body scan that is focused on the seven different chakras and that is going to provide you with energy whilst also at that time keeping your parasympathetic nervous system your relaxation nervous system activated so you'll be even more energized because you're relaxed so that will be our second component of meditation for today so before we go any further let's just make sure you are getting yourself into a place where you are super relaxed so preferably being in a quiet space this is entirely appropriate for any members of your family to do so you don't have to go off into a private room if you've got other people around you who would like to have a bit of a relax for the next 15 minutes or so as well but get yourself physically comfortable you can sit you can lie so and certainly anyway I would be recommending that you shut your eyes down so getting into that comfortable position if you're sitting having your feet resting on the floor feeling the energy of your connection with the earth and if you're lying the same thing feeling the connection of your energy to the Earth's energy through the whole back side of your body or side whichever way you're you're lying and starting to make sure you're also going to be warm enough your temperature will drop a little bit so maybe having a blanket nearby depending on how warm it is where you are and just starting to take your focus to your breath and slowing that breath down so really making sure that your breaths now are starting to be the slowest the longest the deepest breaths you've taken all day your breath is an absolutely amazing tool that you have with you all the time that can help you activate your relaxation response the minute you start breathing super deeply into your belly right down into the bottom of your belly that's even holding the breath for a second or two there and then fully letting it go you are going to activate your vagus nerve which is going to pay a crucial role in activating your parasympathetic nervous system so for the first five minutes of meditation as I mentioned before we're going to use the mantra of for today only I will let go of worry I don't want you to start thinking about all the things you're worrying about but you might and the purpose of the mantra is to refocus your mind onto those words not thinking about them not thinking about what they mean but just repeating those words now you can say it out loud if you would like to you can absolutely just say them in your mind I'm going to play a timer there will be music in between and then every minute I will repeat the mantra but in between ideally you're repeating it silently or out loud to yourself so that is what you are focusing on that's what a mantra is it is a focusing vehicle for your mind I would also like to invite you at this point to place your hands on your body so I am going to start sending the Reiki energy to you now and if you place your hands facing your body then you're going to be channeling that energy in to yourself so you might like to place your hands on a part of your body which is a bit uncomfortable at the moment if you've just eaten a big dinner maybe on your belly if you have sore muscles somewhere if you can comfortably reach them then place your hands on that part of your body so that you're directing the energy where it's most needed at the moment if you don't have any particular concerns where you want to send energy then my recommendation is you place your right hand on your heart on your the middle of your chest and your left hand on your solar plexus so which is kind of the middle of your the top half of your abdomen between your belly button and your bottom of your ribs so that's two of our very important energy centers our chakras and they're great ones to start with when we are channeling energy so continue to focus on the breath and I'm going to start the timer now and remembering our mantra for today only I will let go of worry for today only I will let go of worry ah For today only I will let go of worry.

It may simply be that the sun was shining today can be something very small seemingly meaningless but the more we express our gratitude and feel our gratitude the more our loving healing energy moves out from us and connects us with all other living beings.
So taking that grateful thought into your heart space and feeling the energy leaving moving out from your heart growing bigger and stronger.
And then we're going to consciously direct energy outwards from us by breathing in and with the exhalation sending the energy out to anyone else in the building in which you're practicing breathing in again and the next exhalation sending energy out to everyone in the neighborhood in which you're currently present and breathing in once more and visualizing directing the energy leaving you with your exhalation being sent to everybody in your town or city breathing in again sending the exhalation the love the healing out to everybody in your state or your province your territory breathing in and sending energy out to everybody in your country breathing in once more sending your loving healing connection out to everybody every animal every plant throughout the whole world visualizing the web of connection that we are weaving with this circle connecting everything every living creature around the planet in a loving healing protective embrace of energy and one last time taking a deep breath in and this time directing the energy back to the planet earth the source of life for all of us seeing her being green being clean being strong and not depleted being loved and not destroyed and now I'll take you through a scan of your energies and with each one will activate that energy for you that part of life that it's associated with sending healing to those parts of your body so starting with the lowest energy center on your body which is right at the bottom of your spine where you'll sit sitting bones are where your coccyx is your perineum and this is the first chakra or I like to call it the foundation energy and it's what allows you to feel connected to feel safe secure so just feeling energy within that place in your physical body and taking your attention to your right foot your right big toe second toe third toe fourth toe fifth toe the top of your right foot the bottom of your right foot your right heel your right ankle your right shin your right calf your right knee your right thigh your right hamstrings your right buttocks and over to your left foot your left big toe second toe third toe fourth toe fifth toe the top of your left foot the bottom of your left foot your left heel your left ankle your left shin your left calf your left knee your left thigh your left hamstrings your left buttocks just feeling the energy flow through all of those parts of your body you might like to visualize red healing loving energy and then we'll move up to the second chakra your creation energy which is just above the pubic bone feeling the energy within you and in that area of your physical body feeling your right hip feeling your sacrum feeling your left hip feeling your lower abdomen you notice any sensations in your large intestine any pain in your reproductive system sending healing loving energy to all those components of your body and moving up to the third chakra your power energy your solar plexus so the middle of the upper half of your abdomen seeing a glowing yellow Sun sitting there sending healing energy throughout your body noticing your belly button feeling your whole belly your lower belly your middle belly your waist your upper belly noticing also your lower back your mid back peeling the sides of your waist and moving attention up to the heart space the center of your chest noticing your right ribs your left ribs your mid back your upper back your right shoulder your right upper arm your right elbow your right forearm your right wrist the top of your right hand the palm of your right hand your right thumb right index finger right middle finger right ring finger right little finger and carrying your attention across to your left shoulder your left upper arm your left elbow your left forearm your left wrist the top of your left hand the palm of your left hand your left thumb left forefinger left middle finger left ring finger left little finger noticing your chest your upper back your right shoulder blade your left shoulder blade then tuning into your throat chakra your truth energy feeling the skin on the front of your throat noticing your neck taking attention to your mouth your lower lip your top lip your upper teeth your lower teeth your tongue the roof of your mouth the floor of your mouth your right ear your left ear your nose your right cheek your left cheek and taking the focus up once more to the sixth chakra your third eye your insight energy in the middle of your forehead taking attention to your right eye your right eyebrow your right temple your left eye left eyebrow left temple the back of your head the right side of your head the left side of your head your forehead and traveling up to the last energy center the seventh chakra the crown of your head your connection energy taking your focus to the top of your head feeling into your brain feeling it being relaxed and calm and connected visualizing feeling the white light at the crown of your head little tendrils like almost like fireworks extending outwards from you and connecting you with every other living being you have now scanned your whole physical body you've activated every single part of your system mental emotional and physical through giving your attention to each of your energy centers in turn you can now start to bring some movement back into your body perhaps gently wriggling your fingers your toes gently moving your head from side to side bringing attention to yourself as a whole being when you're ready you can open your eyes and you can take the next few moments to come back fully into the space and time in
