Center, Center, Everything is peripheral, You alone are central to me. I never could push myself to become, To do, To try, Anything. So now with you, I can only fly. I expected life to give, Fall on my lap, But I was so far from that. Ever since you asked of me, It is your vision alone, I am your seed, Already sown. Your pull is strong, So I belong to you and you belong to me. Everything else becomes peripheral, To you being central. I was iron, Wanting to attract gold, But what I did not know that I would naturally flow to your magnetic glow. Our love is sublime, We are pierced together by the same arrow of time. Everything else becomes peripheral, To you being central. The rocky ship of mine, Weathering storms, A vessel to carry me. To the shore, To be sure, I take care of it, As it takes care of me. Many a times it is afloat, I reap what I sow, But many a mysteries I will never know. Why the strong winds are banging at my door, The emotion of fear and uncertainty are strong, Suggesting there is something wrong. In their grip I feel weak, Impaled, But I seek to turn around, Unfurl my sail, Follow my new trail, Now propelled, Transformed by the misunderstood storm. It was indeed a form of energy, A fuel, A challenge not to fight, But to make me on, Take me on to a newer side. With me now united, I was making progress, No longer limited by feelings of stress, Transcending any distress. With my boring past in hand, I will now move through the checking gate and wait for my flight. With a silent prayer in mind, All that is harsh and dissonant in my life will now break down into a loving melody to sing to you. No more weary, I will fall in love, All over again, With the ordinary. Through.
