Settle in.
Soften your breath.
Close your eyes.
Feel the weight of your body resting into your seat,
Into the earth below you.
Feel the temperature of the air on your skin and in your nose.
Feel the sensation of your clothing resting on your body.
Take in the sounds,
The smells,
The taste in your mouth and see if you can relax your physical body into this present moment just a little bit more.
Can you soften the muscles along your brow bone?
Relax your jaw.
Let your belly hang slack.
Then notice where in your physical body you feel a sensation of ease,
Spaciousness,
Pleasure.
Once you've landed on an area of the body,
Begin to breathe there.
You may even place a hand over this area of the body and then draw all of your awareness there.
Take a moment to luxuriate in even the subtlest sensations of pleasure in the body.
Can you let yourself imagine for a moment that nothing in the world could possibly feel better right now than just being present to the pleasure that already exists in your body?
When your mind gets distracted,
As it inevitably will,
With compassion,
With friendliness,
Gently guide your awareness back to the pleasure in your body and breathe a little deeper into it.
And I invite you to imagine that this pleasure in the body has a color and that you could see it.
And then that you could spread this pleasure,
This color,
From the place you currently feel it slowly out to the rest of your body,
Filling your entire core,
Your ribcage,
Your chest,
Your arms and legs.
See if you can draw it all the way down to your feet,
Stretching through your feet,
Wiggling your toes.
See if you can feel the sensation of pleasure all the way down to your toes,
All the way down to your fingertips.
You might stretch,
Flex your fingers,
Your hands,
And feel the sensations of pleasure there.
Stretching through the spine,
Feeling the sensation of pleasure fill your face,
Crown your head.
You might even imagine that this pleasure could expand so far,
Wide,
And deep that it could press beyond your body,
Expanding your auric field,
Your energetic capacity to feel and also receive,
Attract more pleasure,
More goodness into your life.
See if you can,
For just a few more breaths,
Stretch your capacity for pleasure just a little bit more.
Then bring your awareness back to the breath,
Back to your body,
Back to your seat.
Take a deep breath in and then let it go.
When you're ready,
Blink your eyes back open and even as you take in the space all around you,
Looking around,
Remember that you have access to this deep well of pleasure within you and around you always.
