Welcome allow yourself to find a comfortable position one that works for you you may like to be seated or lying down perhaps you may like to close your eyes for them to remain open in a soft gaze allow the body to relax in your own time noticing any areas that may feel tense allowing those areas to soften feel the weight of your body drop against the seat or on the surface beneath you now I invite you to notice any sounds you may hear around you with curiosity how are these sounds making you feel if you feel irritated by a particular sound that is okay if you find a sound distracting that is also okay gently guide your attention to the breath taking a few long and deep breaths in your own time allowing yourself to relax that little bit more perhaps you might like to let out a sigh or to release any stress or tension you may feel in the body you may like to ask yourself with a sense of curiosity what thoughts are popping up for me in this moment how am I feeling allowing whatever is coming up for you to be there with no judgment it is okay as the meditation draws to a close perhaps you might like to stretch out your arms and legs gently opening your eyes when you feel ready
