Hello beautiful soul and welcome to the peace in your bones meditation.
So often we're instructed to go outside and get in touch with nature.
Touch grass,
Some may say.
And while that is a wonderful way.
To decompress and to relax.
And to remember yourself.
Sometimes it's not feasible.
It's my honor and joy to remind you.
That you are nature and that you are earth.
And one of the most profound connections to this planet.
Is your bones,
And they happen to be available to us right now.
So wherever you are in space and in time,
Go ahead and get cozy and get comfy.
And when you're ready,
And not a moment before,
You may flutter your beautiful eyelids closed and take a deep breath in through your nose.
Let it go through your mouth.
Again,
In through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
Last one like this,
In through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
And now,
Wherever your awareness is,
Will gently invite it to join us.
By becoming aware.
Of the posture.
You're currently in.
And it doesn't matter whether you're sitting upright like I am or lying down.
Simply notice.
What your bones,
Your body's structure.
Are doing in this posture.
Are they supporting you?
To help you stay upright.
Are they relaxed,
Lying down like precious stones?
Resting on the earth.
Take notice.
Take notice of your spine.
As you breathe in and out through your nose easy.
Does your spine move?
Does it shift?
Do your discs.
Seem to gently expand or compress with the movement of your breath.
Take notice of the bones in your neck.
These vertebrae.
And feel how your head is connected to your shoulders.
Through this precious bridge.
Of bone.
Now shift your awareness up.
Into your jaw.
Into your skull.
This incredible bone that protects your brain.
And that facilitates speech and movement.
Shift your awareness into your teeth.
And feel your teeth.
From the inside.
Breathe easy as you do this,
My sweet friend.
Let your shoulders be loose.
Finally.
Move your awareness up.
To the very crown.
The very top of your skull.
The topmost layer of bone just under the skin here.
And bring your awareness to rest on this space.
If it's helpful,
You can tap it or touch it.
Just to locate it.
And then replace your hand down by your side or on your lap.
And feel into it.
As if the skull itself.
Had the ability to perceive itself.
Beautiful my sweet friend You can pause here and spend some time exploring.
All the bones of your body.
All along the spine,
Down to the pelvis,
Into the limbs.
Into the phalanges.
Or if you're ready to wrap up,
You may take a deep breath in through your nose.
And let it go through your mouth.
Again in through your nose.
Release through mouth.
One more like this,
In nose.
Out now.
And when you're ready.
You may flutter your beautiful eyelids open.
And take a glance at your world.
Your bones contain profound wisdom,
My sweet friend.
Not just all of the years of your life.
But the genetic makeup,
The lineage of ancestors thousands of years removed.
There's magic to unlock here.
But most beautifully.
There is peace.
Know that you can return to this anytime,
In any place,
By simply bringing your awareness.
To the bones.
