And welcome to PAWS,
A guided meditation by Aeon Alchemy.
My name is Allison Jane,
And I'm delighted to be your guide.
Let's begin by finding a steady,
Comfortable seat.
You can sit cross-legged or with both feet flat on the earth.
Place your right hand on your heart and your left hand on your belly.
If it feels safe to do so,
Close your eyes and allow yourself to go inward.
Otherwise,
Keep the eyes softly open with the lids heavy and the gaze gentle yet focused.
Feel the strength of your body as you sit upright,
With your spine long and your chin slightly tucked.
Allow any tension in your physical body to melt away and relax.
Arrive in this moment by noticing your natural breath.
Notice how you're breathing,
Resisting the urge to want to shift or change anything about your breath.
Become aware of the dance between your breath and body as the air flows in and out of your nostrils.
Take a deep breath in through the nose.
Open your mouth and release as you exhale.
Twice more like that.
Inhale,
Filling the entire torso with air.
Open the mouth and release.
Inhale fill the belly and chest.
Feel your hands move as you breathe.
Exhale relax your jaw,
Relax your face.
Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Just observing the breath.
Now allow your attention to flow towards your heart center,
That space underneath your right hand.
Observe the feelings that rest on your heart.
Listen to them.
Welcome them.
Without judging or trying to shift anything about your feelings or emotions,
Whether they be bright or blue,
Anxious or open,
Accept every feeling that is present.
Welcome every emotion just as it is.
As you rest in this moment,
Bring your attention to the thoughts flowing across the screen of your mind.
Notice if the mind is present with the breath and body or if it's somewhere in the future or soaking up the past.
Come back to yourself by coming back to your breath and to the sensations happening in your own body.
Gently begin to blink your eyes open,
Becoming aware of the space in which you're meditating.
Take a moment to allow your eyes to focus as you embrace this space.
Experience yourself as you are in this time and space,
Centered and connected.
Thank yourself for taking a moment to pause and be with your mind,
Body and heart.
