Welcome to day 2 of the Mindful Morning Series.
To begin this meditation,
You will need coffee,
A beautiful cup of cacao,
Iced water,
Fruit juice,
Whatever it is.
Pause the recording now and get your drink once you're ready to begin.
Restart this track.
Comfortable seated position,
Just ensuring that your feet,
As you sit with your cup,
Firstly take your attention to how it feels in your seat.
Tuning in to notice the cup,
Feeling its texture,
The surface has a certain texture.
Now gently take your awareness to your sense of sight,
Noticing the colour,
Noticing any patterns or textures that might have formed on the surface.
Really move the cup or the glass so the liquid inside has to shift.
Notice,
Noticing the way that it swirls,
Seeing the way that it moves,
Really tuning in to noticing the colour,
Perhaps it's changing,
Noticing everything.
To your ear,
Perhaps you can hear little bubbles pop and you don't hear any.
Just paying attention to the cup or your glass.
Allow yourself to spend a moment noticing all the subtle rinses,
Tea leaves,
The sugar,
Noticing all little nuances of scent.
Notice the fragrance,
Its oils.
If you're ready now,
Bring your drink up to your lips.
Let it gently touch the outside of you,
Noticing the temperature of that.
Sit in the mints,
Detect,
Just holding yourself to be thankful.
Bring the drink up so you can feel the temperature move all the way down.
The drink drips again,
Noticing the smells,
Allowing yourself to be fully present,
Allowing yourself to take the time to savour each moment.
Another sip,
You're following the sensations.
Continue drinking your drink until you're finished.
The experience in your mind is quiet.
