This is a meditation for grounding,
Connecting with and balancing the root chakra.
In this meditation,
We will use affirmations,
As well as the sound of the root chakra,
Or Bija Mantra,
To help us harmonize this energy center.
Find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down,
Whichever feels most natural to you in this moment.
Place your attention on your belly.
Take a few deep inhales and exhales,
Letting your breath start from the very bottom of your belly.
Notice the journey of the breath,
Your lungs filling with air as you inhale.
And then letting it out as you exhale.
Notice each breath becoming more relaxed and more expansive.
Notice any sense of tension and allow it to completely dissolve.
Simply breathe and be in this moment.
And now place your focus on your hips.
Feel the sensation of your hips relaxing deeper into the earth.
Now visualize a bright glowing red light at the base of your spine within your pelvic region.
This is where the root chakra resides.
Imagine that there are roots,
Like those of a great tree that start at your root chakra and reach deep down to the very center of the earth.
Feel this nurturing and supportive energy and allow it to help heal,
Nourish and balance your root chakra.
Take a few more deep inhales and exhales,
While continuing to visualize the energy center of the root chakra.
Now we will begin our affirmations and the Bijan mantra.
For the affirmations,
You can feel free to repeat them out loud after me,
Or simply listen.
We will go through each affirmation three times and follow this with chanting the Bijan mantra three times.
The Bijan mantra for the root chakra is LAM.
LAM.
Let's begin.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
And now we chant LAM three times.
LAM.
LAM.
LAM.
I am grounded and centered.
I am grounded and centered.
I am grounded and centered.
And now we chant.
LAM.
LAM.
LAM.
The energy of the earth flows deeply through me.
The energy of the earth flows deeply through me.
The energy of the earth flows deeply through me.
Now chanting.
LAM.
LAM.
LAM.
I feel at home,
And at ease in my body.
I feel at home,
And at ease in my body.
I feel at home,
And at ease in my body.
And now we chant.
LAM.
LAM.
LAM.
It is easy for me to nurture and care for my body.
It is easy for me to nurture and care for my body.
And now chanting again,
Deep from the root chakra.
LAM.
LAM.
LAM.
I feel secure and supported.
I feel secure and supported.
And now the Bijan Mantra.
LAM.
LAM.
LAM.
I live in an abundant universe.
I live in an abundant universe.
And now the Bijan Mantra,
One last time.
LAM.
LAM.
LAM.
Now it is time to end the meditation.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Stretch.
Take any movements you need.
Take a deep breath in.
And exhale.
Notice how your root chakra feels now after completing the meditation.
You can use these affirmations,
As well as the Bijan Mantra,
At any point throughout the day.
Anytime you need some grounding and supportive energy.
Thank you so much for doing this meditation with me.
Wishing you peace and wellness for your whole day.
Namaste.
