Transcript

Arriving to your practice,

Settle into a comfortable space.

Let your thoughts also settle to the ground,

To be swept away,

For today is a new day and anything can happen.

Give yourself permission to meet this day with openness,

With three breaths,

Together,

Inhale through your nose and exhale slowly.

Inhale through your nose,

Exhale slowly.

Third,

Inhale through your nose,

Open mouth,

Exhale,

Release.

Bring your attention to the present.

Feel the weight of your body supported by the surface underneath you.

Notice the sensations in your body from the top of your head down to your toes.

As you breathe,

Allow your awareness to gently scan through your body,

Acknowledging any areas of tension or tightness.

As you exhale,

Imagine releasing any tension,

Letting it dissolve into the earth beneath you.

With each breath,

Feel yourself become more grounded,

More centered.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Filling your lungs completely,

And then exhale through your mouth,

Letting go of any tension or worries.

Breathe in deeply once more,

And as you exhale,

Allow your body to relax.

Let your shoulders soften,

Your jaw unclench,

And your mind settle into this moment.

As you continue to breathe naturally,

Bring to mind the intention of meeting the day with openness.

Openness is an invitation to greet whatever comes with curiosity and acceptance.

As you inhale,

Imagine your heart opening,

Expanding to make room for all of the experiences this day might bring,

The expected and the unexpected,

The joys and the challenges.

With each exhale,

Release any notions or judgments about how the day should unfold.

Allow yourself to embrace the unknown,

Trusting you have the strength and resilience to navigate whatever comes your way.

Visualize now.

Picture yourself standing at the start of a path,

A path that represents the day ahead.

The sun is gently rising,

Casting a warm,

Golden light around you.

As you step forward onto this path,

Imagine yourself moving with ease and grace,

Open to whatever you may encounter.

Feel the warmth of the sun on your face,

The fresh air filling your lungs,

And the steady earth beneath your feet.

With each step,

Repeat silently to yourself,

I meet this day with openness.

I embrace all that it brings.

Reflecting on how you can carry this sense of openness with you throughout the day,

Consider how you might respond to challenges with curiosity rather than resistance,

And how you can greet joy with a grateful heart.

As you sit with these thoughts,

Continue to breathe deeply and evenly,

Feeling a sense of calm and readiness for the day ahead.

When you're ready,

Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Gently roll your shoulders,

If your eyes were closed,

Open them,

And gently look around your space from right to left.

Take one final deep breath,

And as you exhale,

Let go of any lingering tension,

Knowing that you are prepared to meet the day with an open heart and an open mind.
