Welcome to this ritual and somatic experience designed to help us feel prepared for those moments in our lives where we're stepping into something new,
A new season,
Whatever it may be.
Just any time you feel maybe even out of control and like you just need to kind of sit down,
Ground yourself and feel the sensation of preparedness.
So take a moment.
Hopefully you've already grabbed all of your supplies.
We take a moment to First,
Light your candle.
And as you light your candle,
Take time to watch it light up.
Once the candle is lit,
You'll sit comfortably in front of the candle,
Relaxing the shoulders down the back,
Away from the ears,
Just resting your hands on top of the thighs,
Palms up toward the sky as your act of reception.
Closing down the eyes and softening through the jaw.
Just begin to deepen the breath in.
And lengthen the breath out.
Deepening the inhale.
And lengthening the exhale.
One more deep breath in.
And full breath out.
And then from here,
We come into a really powerful mudra by bringing your right hand to the center of your chest,
To the center of the heart space.
The right hand is your active hand.
It's your masculine side.
It's the side and the hand that governs activation,
Solar energy.
So placing that right hand over the heart center.
As an act of illuminating and activating,
Turning on the electricity of the heart to ensure that we're preparing for whatever it is that you're preparing for from the center of the heart.
The left hand,
You will plug the left fingertips into the earth beside you.
So long left arm plugging those fingertips into the earth.
The left hand is your lunar side.
It's your feminine side.
So by plugging the left fingertips into the earth,
I want you to feel into the sensation of receiving the earth's frequency,
Of grounding down into the great mother to receive the earth's frequency.
So that as we are preparing for this new chapter,
This new season,
This new day,
Whatever it is in your life,
You're doing so from a place of groundedness,
Of nourishment.
Of creativity and connectivity.
So take a moment to just feel this mudra.
Left finger pads into the earth,
Right hand over the heart.
Without feeling like you need to do anything extra right now,
Just being.
With his activation.
With this grounded sense of nourishment.
Setting the intention right here and now.
To come into this new season of your life.
Into whatever it is you're stepping into,
Whatever door you're walking through from this space.
And keeping your hands just as they are,
Begin to blink your eyes open and allow your eyes to connect instantly with the light,
With a candle,
With a flame in front of you,
Reminding you of your internal flame,
Reminding you of the power of that agony,
That fire,
That passion that lives within you.
So we're preparing from that space also.
We're dedicating ourselves to setting our souls on fire.
So continue to stare at the fire.
Blink whenever you need to,
But your Drishti,
Your focal point,
Is directed at the flame.
Continue to breathe in and out through the nose.
If at any point you feel like you need to release through the mouth with a cleansing exhale,
You go for that.
Just feeling into this energy as we invoke in prayer.
And you're welcome to repeat this out loud,
Or if you'd like to repeat it silently,
Or just listen and feel the frequency.
Dear God,
Sweet Universe,
All that is.
I ask that on this day you prepare me like never before to be a living sanctuary.
A sanctuary of purity,
Of passion,
Of truth and holiness.
Not a sanctuary that's perfect and pristine.
But one that's wild and alive.
As I stare into this light,
I ask that you help me to remember who I am and why I'm here.
As I feel my body breathe right now,
May I remember the breath of creation that made me.
May my vessel be clear and ready for the light that is mine to carry.
May my vessel be clear and ready for the light that is mine to carry.
Whatever it is that you need me to do,
Whatever it is that I'm meant to do and be in this mighty world right now,
Please make me so incredibly passionate about it that I'm completely lit up from the inside out.
And anything that's not meant for me,
Anything that will not amplify the frequency of love on this planet.
Make me so uninterested I couldn't even focus on it if I tried.
Light my path in ways that are so obvious.
Give me signs that are so clear.
I couldn't possibly miss them if I tried.
And more than anything,
Please set my soul on fire.
And so it is.
You take a moment to just come back into the space,
Feeling free to kind of look around the room.
Relax the mudra,
Maybe roll your shoulders,
A few head and neck rolls if you'd like.
And then next,
I want you to pick up the pen and paper.
And here we're going to write down patterns or distractions,
Roles,
Labels,
Whatever it may be that are not yours to carry,
That are no longer yours to carry,
That maybe never were yours to carry.
So again,
On this piece of paper,
You can write release at the top.
And we're going to write down patterns,
Distractions,
Roles,
Labels that are not truly yours to carry.
In other words,
Anything that's taking up too much space in your life that doesn't genuinely light you up.
And we're doing this from a place of zero guilt,
Zero shame,
Because we have to believe in infinite possibilities.
If it doesn't light you up,
It is likely that it will light somebody else up in the world.
So it's a possibility to be able to delegate even more than our thinking minds think is possible.
So just write it all down knowing that you don't have to come up with any solution today,
But just for now,
Write it all down and take your time.
Press pause if you need to.
I'll give you some time here and now without overthinking it.
Just write unapologetically.
And please know that if you need more time to write,
Go for it.
But likely what you've already written is enough.
It's important that we don't overwhelm the system.
So likely what you've already written is enough.
You can glance over it just one more time right here and now to just take mental notes.
And then you'll notice your bowl of water right in front of you.
And so from here,
We're going to submerge this paper into the water.
So for me,
When I do this ritual,
I like to rip it up in smaller pieces and then dissolve it into the water and submerge it into the water.
If you've just depends on your situation and circumstances logistically,
But do what feels right to you.
Now,
As you submerge the paper into the water,
Start to watch the paper shift in form and substance.
Start to watch how the ink blurs.
And as you're watching this,
The paper taking on other forms,
The ink blurring.
Imagine those ties.
Imagine those distractions,
Those patterns,
Those labels,
Those roles.
Imagine them dissolving also.
Imagine them dissolving also and in the water,
Dissolving in the water.
It's that part.
Water is the purest substance on this planet,
The most healing substance on this planet.
And so we watch the dissolving happen.
We watch the transformation happen in a soft and subtle way.
We don't always have to throw things into a fire.
We don't always have to release and let go with drama,
Intensity,
And chaos.
Watch how subtle these distractions,
These roles,
These labels,
These patterns dissolve.
Softly and gently.
And then from here,
You'll come back into our mudra with the right hand over the heart and the left fingertips plugged into the earth,
Softening the eyes,
Taking a deep breath in.
Open the mouth,
Breathe out.
Two more like that,
Really deep inhale,
Fill up completely.
Keep breathing in,
Breathing in,
Breathing in.
Hold the breath in at the top.
Engage your insides,
Relax your shoulders.
Open the mouth,
Exhale,
Let it all go,
Clean it all out.
And one more deep inhale to fill up completely,
Breathing in,
Breathing in,
Breathing in,
Holding the breath in at the top.
Engage your insides,
Relax your outsides.
Keep holding the breath for three.
Hold for 2.
And one,
Open the mouth,
Exhale,
Let it all go and really blow the air out.
Really exhale.
Release every last bit of air that was within you.
Return to your natural breath.
And when you're ready,
Blink your eyes open.
And here's where you'll find your next sheet of paper.
This one at the top of the page,
You'll write the word recommitment or recommit whatever you'd like.
And on this paper,
You're going to write just three,
Three commitments that you are going to make to yourself for this coming season,
For this new chapter,
For this new job,
For this new relationship,
Whatever it is in your life that you're preparing for right now.
Three commitments that you are going to make to yourself right here and now for this new season.
And if you find that you're not quite sure,
Ask God,
Ask the divine to help you.
What is God?
Truly asking of you in this new season.
What is it that you really want?
And how can we commit to making that our reality?
How can we commit to serving God,
The divine,
The vastness of the universe in our unique way?
Three commitments.
And try not to overthink it.
So these should come very quickly.
If you need more time,
Of course,
Press pause,
But knowing that it's really just activating just first thing that comes to mind,
And that's what we'll focus on instead of overloading ourselves.
So once you've completed one,
Two,
Three commitments,
I want you to place the paper right in front of the candle so that Let the paper feel illuminated.
I want you to feel like it's coming to life,
Like it's literally got life force energy around it.
It's illuminated by the light.
And then I want you to read those three commitments out loud.
And then once you feel complete,
We'll come back into our mudras.
You can just place that down.
It will be helpful to maybe have those commitments with you.
You know,
Maybe it's something that you put,
Use as a bookmark or place in your car,
In your purse,
Something that you'll see often to be reminded that it requires this new season of life.
As we step into the life of our dreams,
It requires that we stay lit up.
It's required that we stay committed.
To the dream.
That we don't allow distractions,
That we don't allow roles that aren't ours to be or carry,
That we don't allow that into our lives and that we do stay committed.
This is a vow between you and God.
We are vowing right here and now to dance with God instead of fighting against the divine.
And so with that in mind,
We come back to our mudra,
Right hand over the heart,
Left fingertips plugging into the earth.
Softening the eyes if you haven't already.
This time the breath is a little bit different.
It's a really beautiful breath for nervous system regulation.
So from here,
It will be a two part inhale that will sound like this.
It'll be like an inhale and another inhale.
And then you blow it out through the mouth.
To exhale.
So when you're ready,
We inhale,
Inhale,
Blow it out,
Exhale.
Two more,
Inhale,
Inhale,
Blow it out.
One more inhale,
Inhale,
Blow it out.
Return to your natural breath again.
Feel the energy alive around you and within you.
And then from here,
You blink your eyes open yet again.
And here's where the little piece of bread or the grain or the little piece of fruit,
Whatever it is that you grabbed for to represent nourishment,
This is where we grab that right now.
So I want you to place that in your hand.
And hold it right in front of the heart center like it's a bowl.
Right in front of the heart center.
Repeating this out loud,
Silently to yourself,
Or just listening to the frequency.
May I be nourished by the work and the energy that is mine to carry.
And may my work and my energy nourish the world.
And then we eat it.
For a symbolic and somatic experience of nourishing ourselves.
And therefore nourishing the world through our work,
Through our energy,
Through our light,
Through our passion.
And then last time here,
We come back into our mudra,
Right hand over the heart,
Left finger pads plugged down into the earth,
Closing down the eyes.
And just slowly breathing in and out through the nose,
Just taking this moment for yourself to be with yourself.
The feel into this energy of heart activation and nourishment.
Of coming alive,
But in a grounded way.
Of being so lit up with passion.
But in a way that's really restorative and nourishing instead of overwhelming.
And with your eyes soft,
You might turn your gaze inward to your mind's eye.
Maybe even visualizing yourself right here and now,
Walking into this new semester of life,
Walking into this new season,
This new chapter,
This new phase through this door.
And maybe you're just preparing for tomorrow.
Maybe it's the beginning of the day and you're just preparing for the day ahead.
But visualizing yourself alive with passion.
Visualizing yourself lit up from the inside out.
Activating the energy that the world needs from you.
Activating the energy that you need from the world.
What does this next semester,
This next chapter,
This next day look like when you've brought online those three commitments that you made to yourself?
When you're no longer carrying the distractions,
The roles,
The energy,
The labels that aren't yours to carry,
What does life look like?
What does life feel like?
When the soul is clear.
When the body is radiant.
When the mind is committed.
Please stay in this space as long as you need.
But for now,
I pray that you feel prepared in a really grounded,
Yet exciting and life-giving way for whatever is to come.
On this next chapter,
This next journey,
This new phase,
This new day of your life.
And so it is.
Sending you so much love now and always.
Namaste.
