Let go of your worries and release tension in this short, grounding meditation. Beginning with a reconnection to your breath, you'll be taken on a calming journey through a lush green forest to an open meadow, connecting with animals and the Earth element.

Welcome to this healing forest meditation.

You can start by finding a comfortable space where you won't be disturbed and get into a comfortable position either seated or lying down on the back.

We'll start this meditation with the breath before going into our journey into the forest.

So you can begin by noticing where the breath is now and then intentionally taking three deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Grounding yourself with every inhale and releasing with every exhale.

And making the last one the deepest breath you've taken so far today.

Noticing the heaviness of your body and just feeling the surface underneath you.

The only thing you need to do for the next few minutes is follow the sound of my voice and breathe.

We'll picture a sunny warm day and you're walking through a forest with big redwood trees and tall pines creating a beautiful canopy as you look up at the sky and see the sun's light shining through the branches.

You can feel the warmth of the sun on your face and the life that lives within the forest.

As you walk through you can hear the birds chirping and singing,

The rustling of the branches,

The crunching of the leaves,

And the sound of wildlife scattering about.

And as you come to the end of your path you see an opening that opens into a giant meadow.

You can see the beautiful bright blue sky and lush green grass.

So you begin to walk into the meadow over a hill and notice anything there that you need to see.

As you walk through the meadow you can feel the grass beneath your feet and a really refreshing breeze goes through your hair.

You see butterflies and dragonflies flitting about.

Other animals are there too to guide you.

Maybe you even feel like rolling down the hill or doing a cartwheel in the meadow.

And when it's time to walk back to your path through the forest you have a sense of ease and stability and knowingness.

Trust in yourself to go back on your path into the forest.

And as you take a deep breath into your body,

Feeling refreshed and alive,

Recharged with the energy of the earth,

You can take another breath in and out and softly flutter the eyes open as you come back into the space to go on with the rest of your beautiful day.
