
Yoga Nidra For Isolation: The Journey Home
This meditation is designed especially to bring you home into yourself, your inner world, so that you don’t feel so lost and frustrated during this emotional roller-coaster time of isolation which we are all living in. I will guide you through the Koshas, bringing you deep into your sub-conscious mind, so that when you exit you feel a whole lot better. This is the perfect Yin style practice of Surrender for these challenging times.

Welcome to this yoga nidra for deep relaxation and connection.
My name is Aisling and I will be your guide for this journey home.
So go ahead and make yourself as comfortable as you can if you haven't already done so and I advise that you lay down on your back,
Move your arms away from your body and allow your eyes to close and just straight away place one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart and just without changing anything begin to observe the breath moving in and out bringing the whole body to life.
Soften your face,
Allow your shoulder blades open and spread as they melt into the surface on which you lay.
Release the weight of your hips onto the earth and your feet relax naturally out to either side.
Your whole body now in this star-like shape and with your inner gaze looking towards the sky your eyes closed eyelids relaxed.
Let's begin.
Carl Jung the Swiss psychiatrist was best known for his work on his theory of the collective unconsciousness and archetypes and he claims that the energy of being real has more power than outright persuasion debate or force the will.
He suggests that being who we are releases such an extraordinary power that without any intent or design affects all people we come into contact with.
So that by being ourselves and being truly authentic our own spiritual light and warmth emanates from our very souls causing others to grow not towards us but towards the light that moves through us.
So by staying real and true to ourselves right now and exactly how we feel in this moment we are helping each other grow towards the one vital light and really receive yourself as you are right now.
Begin this by noticing how your physical body feels.
Start with your feet and feel all sensations in the body all the way up to the top of the head and notice how your body is a field of sensation.
All your systems effortlessly communicating with one another.
Now bring the awareness to the mind.
I'm just checking in to notice how you feel right now.
Maybe your mind's still filled with non-stop chatter,
Some form of survival or panic thoughts or it's busy planning what to do next but just observe these thoughts as if they're clouds passing by in the sky.
Don't try and change on thing just observe and then move inside deep inside into the center into your inner world.
The world only you ever get to experience and try and be as honest with yourself as you can be.
How are you really feeling?
Worried or scared,
Exhausted,
Frustrated,
Tired,
Maybe you feel joy and whatever it is can you sit with it without trying to change it right now.
Just allow everything be as it is.
It's not all of you it's only part of you.
Receive yourself fully in this moment.
Now begins the journey home with Yoganidhra.
Using your own internal voice now commit to staying awake and aware while you follow my voice as guidance for this entire practice.
Take a moment here just to notice if there's one limiting belief that's coming up that you may have been repeating to yourself each day and there might be many but what's the first thought that popped into your head?
Can you flip it on its head?
Can you think of a counter belief to this statement?
For example if you may be feeling very alone right now and unsupported and the counter statement to this would be I am supported.
Just listen and trust as your deepest heart's desire is revealed to you and whatever shows up is exactly the healing or remedy that you need right now.
Repeat it three times.
Allow the potency of the statement vibrate through your whole being.
Feel the shift and know that by establishing this profound inner security at this exact time you are strengthening your own relationship to your infinity.
Now slide your awareness into your heart as you begin to feel a beating inside of your body.
Your journey is about to begin and will take a pathway around your whole physical body.
As I name the different body parts I want you to feel them so fully not with your thinking mind your labeling mind but with the felt sensation.
Now flood your entire awareness into your right thumb so much so that you feel the pulsations inside of your right thumb now.
Your whole awareness feeling your right thumb.
Every cell is activating here and illuminating and now bring that awareness over to your index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger and pinky finger.
Palm of the right hand,
Back of the right hand,
Right wrist,
Lower arm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Right shoulder,
Right armpit,
Right side of the ribs and waist and right hip,
Thigh,
Knee,
Lower leg and right ankle,
Sole of the right foot,
Through to the top of the right foot,
Big right toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe and fifth toe.
Feel the whole right side of the body,
Whole right side of the body now.
Now shift your awareness into your left thumb and feel your left thumb fully.
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
Pinky finger,
Palm of the left hand through to the back,
Left wrist,
Lower arm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Left shoulder,
Left armpit,
Left side of the rib cage,
Left waist and left hip,
Thigh,
Knee,
Lower leg,
Left ankle,
Sole of the right foot,
Top of the right foot,
Big left toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe and fifth toe,
Whole left side,
Whole left side of the body.
Moving up the back of the body feel the soles of the feet,
The back of both legs,
Right buttock,
Left buttock,
Both buttocks together,
Low back,
Mid back and upper back.
Feel the whole length of the spine from the base of the tailbone to the top of the neck.
Feel the base of the head,
Right of the head,
Forehead.
Feel your right temple,
Left temple,
Both temples together.
Feel your right eye,
Whole eyeball around to the back,
Another left eye,
The whole eyeball around to the back,
Both eyeballs together,
Right nostril,
Left nostril,
Bridge of the nose,
Tip of the nose,
Whole nose.
Feel your right cheek,
Your left cheek,
Your upper row teeth,
Your lower row teeth and feel the whole inside cavity of the mouth.
Feel down the throat out to the right,
Now to the left.
Feel the whole throat,
Right side of the chest,
Left side of the chest,
Whole chest,
Upper abdomen,
Lower abdomen and pelvis.
Now feel your whole right leg,
Whole left leg,
Whole torso,
Right shoulder out to the fingertips,
Left shoulder out to the fingertips,
Your throat,
Face,
Head and neck.
Feel your whole body is one,
Whole body awareness.
Feel your whole body is one now and as the body now begins to fall asleep,
Commit one more time to remain awake and aware as your witness,
Your observer moves through this journey,
Moving into a deeper state of relaxation,
Awakening higher energies.
Begin to sink your awareness inside of the body and start by placing it at the very base of the spine.
Take a deep breath here and draw the energy up the full length of the spine all the way to the crown of your head and as you exhale,
Exhale all the way back down.
This time find the root of your sexual organs and breathe in from there and breathe in all the way up to the crown of the head and as you exhale,
Let it go or turn back then.
Feel the space behind your navel point and from here take a big belly breath in and carry this breath the whole way up the body,
All the way to the crown and exhale it back to the navel point.
Drop into the place,
The tiny place in the center of your heart and from here breathe in through the front of the heart and gather it all the way to the top of the head.
Exhale back down,
Release it at the back of the heart.
Opening up the front of the throat as you take a deep breath in,
Draw this breath to the crown and exhale back down,
Release both sides of the throat.
Inhale from the space between your eyebrows now,
So soften your whole forehead as you inhale and invite the breath to to the top of the head all the way around the scalp and exhale,
Soften,
Return to your breath center.
Now feel into the space slightly above your head and from this space take a deep breath then.
Greeting the circular halo as you breathe in and as you exhale feel your entire physical and subtle energy bodies relax.
You are doing this perfectly and everything you need right now is being aligned in order for you to receive it,
So allow and trust yourself to be carried in this intuitive directions or whatever is being shown to you.
You are supported and guided.
Just send your awareness into the space at your breath center,
Connecting to your intuition deep inside here and begin to drop into your inner world.
Notice what you see,
Any symbols or images or any colors arising.
Free yourself here from the bricks and mortar of the mind so that you can experience the freedom of your inner world.
Free from walls,
Free from limitations,
Free from boundaries.
Find comfort here in this place of being,
Knowing that this is the moment and that this moment is the only one that truly exists.
Rest now my friend,
Rest deeply.
Remember.
I'm going to invite you in to feel the polarity and we'll begin by inviting and feeling of doing,
Busy,
Rushed,
So much to do.
How does this feel for you in your body and where exactly do you feel it?
You liberate yourself from the feeling of doing as you now embody the feeling of being,
At ease,
Relaxed,
Settled and aware in the present moment.
How does that feel in your body?
Whereabouts in your body is it showing up?
Noticing any attached emotions,
Symbols or whatever it is that shows up.
Retire home to your inner world,
The brow center space,
Finding comfort here once again.
With your eyes closed,
Use your middle eye and see your body here resting at ease,
Asleep.
See each cell shine brightly as your whole body illuminates like a star in the star-like shape.
Feel out to all the space that surrounds you,
The space beneath your body,
The space above your body,
All the way out to the right and now all the way over to the left,
Above your head and feel into all of the space beneath your feet.
Can you feel out further into the space past where your body ends and the room begins?
Do you feel any sensations or how does this feel?
Now allow this lightness to lift you higher as your essence floats upwards all the way up into the cosmos,
Into the darkest most beautiful blanket-like galaxy.
You are surrounded by other soul star beings.
Find comfort in the connection of these bright sparks of beings amidst this dark field of the unknown.
There is a sense of familiarity here and the contract of your being is available for you to remember.
What is it that you wish to know?
Ask now and receive the guidance offered.
Listen for your heartfelt intention and repeat it three times just like we did at the start.
Repeat it with conviction,
Believing it to be already so.
Lathering up all pieces of you,
Descend back down through this tubular light from the cosmos back into your physical self.
As you lay here illuminated the light being that you are.
Allow everything else fade away as you rest deeply.
Allowing everything integrate.
Believing everything that you need in this exact moment.
And then begin to deepen the breath.
And notice with a curiosity as this life force moves in and out of the body,
Breathing it into life.
Everything you need is in this moment.
Connect back to your physical body,
Placing a hand on the tummy and a hand on the heart.
Your power center,
Your heart center.
Strengthen the connection between your intuition at the breath center,
Your soul contract at the heart center and your connection to self and others through a navel point solar plexus.
With a deep breath in see your body surrounded in a cocoonal light.
And deep breath out,
Sigh it out.
And I know they're like that,
Just deep breath in through the nose,
Fill up and exhale.
And taking whatever natural small movement you desire right now and maybe that's rolling onto one side,
Throwing your knees in nice and closely to your chest and bringing your heart towards the floor.
Allow yourself be held.
Stay here for as long as you need.
Whenever you feel ready,
Make your way into seated position by the thinking mind to your open heart.
And trust that this journey home is reconnecting you with what it is you need right now.
