Welcome.

This yoga nidra will build your self-esteem so that you can become the person that you want to be.

The person you know deep down who is and can be.

My name is Aisling,

Which means a dream or a vision.

And it's both my dream and vision to help you clarify yours.

Before we get started,

Set yourself up in a space where you can get comfortable,

Where you can fully relax and somewhere that you won't be disturbed.

Some things which can help with this are wearing some loose,

Comfortable clothing,

An eye mask perhaps to block out any of the light,

A warm blanket for over your body,

A pillow for underneath your head or even underneath your knees to elevate your legs,

And perhaps locking the door and pulling the curtains.

Really take this time to set yourself up so that you are totally comfortable treating yourself with the love and the care that you deserve.

And when you're ready,

Find your way into a comfortable resting position on your back.

Allow your legs to be stretched out,

Your feet relaxed.

Place your arms slightly away from your body,

Palms of your hands facing the sky.

Allow your face to soften.

Release any sensation of gripping or tension.

Get any last fidgets out of the way and find your way into stillness.

Close your eyes.

Your eyes will remain closed for the duration of this practice.

Find stillness.

Allow your body to become heavier and heavier,

Giving it over to gravity.

Feel your legs become heavy,

Your torso,

Now your right arm and your left.

Feel your face soften.

Relax your forehead as things slowly begin to slow down.

Feel your whole body relax.

There is nothing for you to do,

Nowhere else for you to be.

Give yourself this gift right now of being fully present,

Where nothing is required of you but to rest.

Take this moment to enjoy simply being.

Rest now my friend.

Allow your body to go to sleep.

Allow your analytical thinking mind to go to sleep.

And all that remains is your awareness.

This practice really is very simple.

Listen to my voice and I will be your guide.

Take a deep inhale from the base of your spine all the way up to the crown of your head.

Feeling up,

Hold at the top.

And then exhale,

Feel your body soften.

Breathing back down from the crown of your head to the base of your spine.

Inhale again,

Deep belly breath from the base of the spine all the way up to the crown of your head.

And exhale from the top of your head to the base of your spine.

Coming back to your natural quiet patient breath.

The practice of yoga nidra begins now.

Keep your eyes closed and as you do,

Visualize yourself as you lay here.

See yourself relaxed and at ease and know that you are safe.

And as you see yourself lay here,

You slowly begin to notice thick golden rings circling around your entire body.

These rings are looping and weaving themselves together,

Embracing you like a hug so that they surround all of you creating this magnificent golden cocoon.

And now see your heart.

Bring your full awareness to your heart.

So much so that you can feel it beating,

Pumping blood through your entire body and providing you with as much oxygen and nutrients you need.

It is nourishing you.

Feel your way into the center of your heart.

And in there,

You'll find a tiny flickering flame.

This my friend is you.

And you notice that the more attention you give this flame,

The brighter and stronger it becomes.

Simply by being observed,

It gets stronger.

So no matter how weak it gets,

This flame you're is,

It always remains a lit.

From this place,

Invite in now the feeling of gratitude.

Allow yourself to feel grateful,

Even if it's just for one small thing today.

Feel gratitude.

And while you bathe here in this feeling of gratitude,

Call upon your sankalpa now.

Repeat it three times with conviction.

A sankalpa is your own personalized pledge to yourself.

It can be a promise you will keep in your heart,

A statement which you plant deep in your subconscious mind.

It's an affirmation you will repeat to yourself here and also in your daily life.

And can often be a counter statement to a self limiting belief.

You will work with the sankalpa for many months until the self limiting belief is gone.

It will arise naturally from deep inside of you.

Listen for it now.

You will now be guided through a body scan,

Which will help you develop mindful awareness as well as a relieving tension in your body.

Different parts of the body will be named.

You will then repeat the name part mentally to yourself in your own mind,

Followed by feeling that part fully.

You will feel each body part before moving on to the next.

Before we begin,

Strengthen your resolve to stay awake and aware as your body goes to sleep.

Repeat now to yourself,

I will stay awake and aware.

Bring your attention over to your right thumb.

Feel your right thumb with your full attention,

Allowing all other thoughts to fall away so that you can really feel your right thumb.

Intensify this now so much that all you can feel is your right thumb.

Now move this focus to your right index finger,

Your middle finger,

Your ring finger and your pinky finger.

Feel the palm of your right hand.

Feel through to the back of your right hand.

And now your right wrist.

Feel your right forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm and shoulder.

Feel your right armpit,

Right rib cage,

Right waist and your right hip.

Feel your right knee,

Lower leg and your right ankle.

Feel your right heel,

Sole of your right foot,

On the top of your right foot.

Big toe,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe and fifth toe.

Feel the entire right side of your body now.

The entire right side.

Shift your awareness to your left thumb.

Now feel your left thumb with your full awareness.

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger and pinky finger.

Feel the palm of your left hand,

The back of your left hand and your left wrist.

Your forearm,

Your elbow,

Upper arm,

Left shoulder.

Feel your left armpit,

Left rib cage,

Left waist and left hip.

Shrug your right arm.

From here,

Fix your left foot.

Things you need to do will call of the left foot.

And big left toe.

Second toe.

Third toe.

Fourth toe.

And fifth toe.

Feel the entire left side of your body now.

Feel the entire left side.

Moving up the back of your body.

Bring your awareness to the sole of your right foot and now the sole of your left foot.

And feel both soles of your feet together.

The back of your right heel.

The back of your left heel.

And the back of both heels together.

Feel your right calf and your left calf.

And both together.

Feel the back of your right knee and the back of your left knee.

And now the back of both knees together.

Feel your right set of hamstrings.

Feel your left set of hamstrings.

Feel both sets of hamstrings together.

Feel your right buttock.

And your left buttock.

Both buttocks together.

Feel your pelvis.

Feel your back of your right knee.

Low back.

Mid back.

And upper back.

Feel the full length of your spine along your back.

Bringing you all the way up to your neck.

Feel the back of your neck.

The base of your head.

And now the crown of your head.

Feel your forehead.

Feel your right eyebrow.

Left eyebrow.

Feel both eyebrows together.

Right eye.

Left eye.

Both eyes together.

Right nostril.

Left nostril.

The bridge of your nose.

And the tip of your nose.

Feel your whole nose.

Feel your upper lip.

And your lower lip.

And both lips together.

Feel your teeth.

Your tongue.

And the whole inside of your mouth.

Feel your chin.

The right side of your jaw.

The left side of your jaw.

Feel both sides of your jaw together.

Feel your right ear.

And your left ear.

Feel both ears together.

And now feel the space between your ears.

And follow that down to your throat.

Filling out to the right.

And out to the left.

And then feel both directions together.

Continue travelling down to the right side of your chest.

And now the left side of your chest.

Feel your whole chest.

Travel down further into your upper abdomen.

Your lower abdomen.

Feel your whole right leg.

Feel your whole left leg.

And now feel both legs together.

Feel your torso with your legs.

Feel your right arm out to your fingertips.

And now your left arm out to your fingertips.

Feel both arms along with your torso and your legs.

Add your neck,

Your head,

Your face,

Your throat.

So that you can feel your whole entire body.

Feel your whole body as one.

Bring your awareness to your natural breath.

And without changing anything,

Simply observe your body being breathed into life.

Feel into your heart now and find your flame.

As you observe your flame growing bigger,

It slowly begins to spread.

Lighting up your entire body in a Now we will move into an explorative journey of feeling.

You are invited to briefly call upon a range of different emotions and feelings.

And really allow yourself to feel these.

After each set,

You will be guided back to your heart center,

Your eternal flame.

Conjure the feeling of disappointment.

What does it feel like when you are disappointed?

Allow yourself to really feel disappointment now.

Where do you feel this sensation in your body?

Allow this feeling of disappointment to be released free.

Release it now.

And summon the feeling of gratitude.

Where do you feel gratitude in your body?

Feel gratitude now.

Let that go.

As you bring your awareness back to your heart,

Feel your way to its center,

Coming home to you.

Provoke the feeling of anger in your body now.

Allow yourself to feel anger.

Without any story attached,

What does anger feel like for you?

What emotions are coming up?

Where do you hold the anger?

Surrender the feeling of anger as you call upon the feeling of peacefulness.

How do you feel when you are at peace?

When you are acting from a place of calmness?

Feel peace.

Let go and come back to your heart center,

Your inner flame.

What does it feel like to be whole?

What does wholeness feel like to you?

Feel wholeness now.

Now you will move into the creative,

Intuitive,

Wise body.

You will be guided on this adventure and really allow yourself to visualize this with as much or as little detail as comes up for you.

Let your imagination be free.

See yourself standing in the center of the most magnificent garden that you have ever seen.

It is filled with flowers of every color as far as your eyes can see.

You can feel the sun in your face as the slight warm summer breeze embraces your body.

As you listen you can hear the birds singing all of their favorite songs.

Notice the smells.

You look down and you see your bare feet standing in the grass.

How does it feel?

Slowly you start to walk through the grass.

You feel the long grass brush against your legs.

Between these long blades of grass you see thousands of tiny little yellow flowers shining up at your feet.

As you reach the end of the meadow you come to a flat piece of land.

The first thing you see when you look down is a mushroom.

And beside this another.

You see a big circle of mushrooms and the earth in the center of this circle is slightly raised.

You have arrived to a fairy circle.

You step into the center of this circle and as you do a door appears.

You open the door and a child steps through.

You look and see that this child is you.

This is you when you were a child.

How old are you?

As you reach your hand out in front of you to take theirs you are now hand in hand.

Tell your inner child how proud of them you are.

Tell them that you will be their guardian.

Their biggest cheerleader and champion from now on.

If you like you can allow your child self to crawl up into your lap as you embrace them fully.

Whispering you are whole.

You are perfect and complete.

You are the best you belong.

You are wanted in this world and you are loved deeply.

You are a divine and magnificent expression of life.

Reassure your child self that you are listening now.

That they are safe and that they have your full support.

Allow whatever feelings arise come to the surface to be felt.

Let them out.

Honor them.

Honor you.

What do you want to say to yourself at this age?

Just like a personalities you're a human.

Ost чет serious you and if you're still world It is time to say goodbye to your child self for now.

Once again you open the door and as you do your child self steps through.

You notice a golden light.

It's coming from your heart centre connected straight to theirs.

You are one.

Every time you focus on your own inner golden flame you can call upon your inner child self.

Allow all of this to fade away and feel your way back into your heart.

Use your heartbeat as a radar to find your way back to your body.

Come home to you.

As you arrive back to your heart centre know that you carry your child self inside of you.

You are in your power.

Go deeper now into this heart centre and listen for your sankalpa.

It will be revealed to you.

Surrender and allow your sankalpa to arise.

When it does repeat it three times with conviction.

Thank you for coming to life.

And now feel love.

Allow yourself to be filled with love.

Love for yourself.

Love for your child self.

Love for both.

Love for you.

Call your spirit home back into your body.

Feel where your body comes into contact with you beneath you.

And use your breath to help awaken your body as you slowly start to stir and awaken.

Take a deep inhale breathing in.

Drawing the breath from the soles of your feet all the way up to the crown of your head.

And exhale,

Sigh through your mouth.

Begin to feel your way back into your physical body.

Feel your legs,

Your torso,

Your arms,

Your hands and your fingers.

Even feel your face in your head.

Take any movement that feels natural.

Perhaps it's a big stretch out overhead.

Reaching your arms all the way over.

Stretching out your legs,

Lengthening.

Notice how alive you are.

What a gift that is.

This practice of yoga nidra is now complete.

In your own time roll onto your side.

Roll your knees to your heart and your heart to the earth.

This practice is complete.

Reconnect to you.

Sense that feeling of harmony and peace within you.

And for the next few breaths be here with yourself.

Remembering that you can give yourself every single thing that you need.

And also that you are fully supported in this world.

You are whole and you are complete.

When you feel ready slowly find your way through to a seated position.

And observe any changes that may have happened.

Noticing how you feel right now.

Thank you for allowing me to guide you on this special journey.

From my heart to yours.

Hari Om Tat Sat Namaste.
