It is hard NOT to enter into a meditative state while listening to Ramana. If I were a teacher of mediation and had a student who was struggling to still the mind, I'd suggest, "Just close your eyes and listen to this piece of music. Don't worry about concentrating on your breath or an image or mantra - just let the sounds carry you where they will."
