This guided practice invites you to meditate on the words of Psalms 23.
I want to invite you to settle into your space,
To feel your feet beneath you,
Your seat holding you.
To elongate your spine as you stretch the crown of your head up to the sky.
And allow your shoulders to settle down comfortably.
Bringing some attention to your face.
Allowing it to relax.
Allowing your forehead and your brows to relax.
Your cheeks and your mouth to relax.
And to breathe.
Bringing attention to the sound of your breath.
Taking slow inhales in through your nose and out through your mouth.
As we settle into the space,
Being fully present and aware of the moment,
I want to invite you to listen to the words of Psalms 23.
The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
God makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
God restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil.
For God you are with me.
Your rod and your staff,
They comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil.
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forevermore.
Amen.
As you take in the words of this passage,
Let them reverberate through your experience.
Holding on to the words that stood out as I read this passage,
And holding them as a truth as you enter into your day or into this next season.
As we end our guided practice,
I want to invite you again to just bring attention to your body and the space that it's holding.
Bring attention to your feet and the floor that's beneath you.
Bring attention to your seat and the support it's providing you.
Bring attention to the top of your head,
The crown of your head,
And to the front of your face.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes and enter back into the space in front of you.
And so it is.
