Welcome to this yoga nidra meditation for people pleasers,
Where we are going to focus on affirmations.
Around our own worth and boundaries and ability to say no.
Get yourself nice and comfortable.
This is your time.
When you're ready,
You can close down the eyes and take a deep breath into the belly.
And a long exhale,
Just letting go of the day.
Letting go of anything you did or need to do.
Arriving here and now.
Knowing that you are doing this meditation for you.
This is your treat for you.
We're going to bring a gentle awareness to different parts of the body.
I'm going to list them and all you have to do is.
.
.
Bring your awareness to that spot.
And as we rotate awareness through the body,
I'm going to say some affirmations.
You can repeat them out loud or in your head,
Whatever feels most comfortable for you.
Bringing your awareness to the top of your head.
Your forehead.
Behind the left eye.
In the right eye.
Notice the eyes relaxing.
And repeating.
My worth is not determined by anyone's approval of me.
Noticing the left ear.
The right ear.
Your jaw.
Waves of peace moving through the whole body.
And you can notice which of these affirmations land and which don't.
Maybe you journal later about which ones made sense for you.
Noticing.
And then bringing your attention down into the left shoulder.
Elbow.
Palm of the hand.
In the back of the hand.
All five fingers.
Noticing the whole arm.
Every time I choose my own truth over someone's comfort.
I come home to myself a little more.
Awareness through the right shoulder.
Elbow.
Breaths.
Back of the hand.
Palm of the hand,
And all five fingers.
The whole arm.
In your gentle awareness.
A boundary is an act of honesty,
Not cruelty.
Awareness through the chest,
The upper back.
The belly.
The low back.
Wash of peace through the whole torso.
I release the need to manage how others feel about me.
Now noticing the left hip.
Me.
And all the way down to the left ankle.
The sole of the foot.
All five toes.
Your whole leg.
Other people's emotions are not my responsibility to solve.
Now noticing the right hip.
Me.
Ankle.
Sole of the foot.
And all five toes.
A whole leg.
I am allowed to say no.
Now the whole right side of your body,
Left side of your brain.
Imagine you are floating in a blissful peace.
The whole left side of your body and right side of your brain.
Floating in a blissful peace.
And finally.
.
.
The whole body in your gentle awareness.
It is an act of self-care for me to speak my needs.
Softening through the whole body a wave of relaxation from the top of the head to the tips of the toes,
Floating in peace.
Melting away any last bits of stress.
Taking one final deep breath into the belly for this meditation.
Big,
Long exhale.
And then,
Wiggling your fingers and toes.
You can flutter open your eyes whenever you're ready.
